In the grand scheme of things, we still have a job, so it's hard to complain about being a 20+ year gear-jerker when it comes with a decent paycheck, decent time off, and overall company stability like Southwest has shown over the years. People realize that, and will act (and speak) accordingly once they're there.

What else would you think they'd do?

Then, the rules changed (perceived threats, which always helps), and now those 80% won't forget how they are currently being treated. Have fun with that! That fun spirit of yours might just be a memory coming up here. Throw in stagnation, and cost cutting currently happening, and that thing that made you guys different will be gone. Of course not; NOT speaking their mind isn't lying, and some of them ARE disgruntled at our MEC and can redirect the conversation that way. They DO know how to get along and shut up and color.

Seriously, who's going to cause a conflict in the cockpit by speaking their mind, not to mention making a name for themselves in the process?

Our people are more professional than that, and will move on, get along, and find a happy place in life, although their happy place may not revolve around their job again for a while, it's just a matter of time to adjust.
