Will SW Hire US Airways Pilots?

I had at least 3 USAirways furloughees in my new hire class at FedEx in Aug 02.

If you are qualified and a good "fit" for SWA, then I don't think it matters a bit.

The DAL guy that comes to mind was furloughed in the early 90's (from DAL). Now he is a Captain here.

As far as quiting SWA to go anywhere else? I guess its not a problem as long as your timing is good. You know get in when a lot of hiring is going on with plenty of guys below you.

I really hate when guys jump back a few threads, but here is one for General Lee!
I know it is banter re the wind checks, and SWA, but .....

Odd, I know, but I just love to know what ATC thinks is the current surface wind. It gives me this weird feeling, like being ready for the unexpected. Must really be the navy guy in me.

Sometimes I ask them to confirm the runway too. Eek. Oh, and ops, the gate.

They taught me in pilot training to stack the options in my favor
