Prety weird, the Israelis are good at making their own weapons, and the "bunker busters" are nothing more than an oddly-shaped bomb, designed to penetrate, manufactured of super-hardened steel, and equipped with a delay fuze. There's nothing cosmic there, and nothing the Israelis couldn't copy with ease.

You're right it’s not cosmic. They do, however, tend to gravitate toward defensive weapons development for obvious reasons.

I would guess what going on here is simply a short time table for a reaction to the threat (too short to develop their own) and a desire to avoid re-inventing the wheel.

U.S. plans to sell 'bunker busting' bombs to Israel
In-Depth Coverage

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was in Israel this week, has agreed to sell short-range missiles to Syria.
Remember Bush: "You're either with us or you're with the terrorists." Well Russia has been a friend of Iran and is giving Syria short-range missles! Russia is with the terrorists!

Below is article about China and Iran's new oil alliance. China is with the terrorists!

I just hope we don't have to fight everyone one day that is with the terrorists.

Here is the article about China and Iran:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/02/17/AR2006021702146.html

Here is an article about Venezuela saying they may cut off oil exports to the United States! Venezuela and Hugo Chavez are terrorists :) We'll have to go secure their oil like Iran's and Iraq's soon too. Citgo is Venezuelan owned and Venezuela provides the U.S. over 1.5 million barrels of oil a DAY!
I guess all the CITGO STATIONS in th U.S. would be out of gas???

Exxon and Shell are having trouble in Nigeria which is the U.S.'s 5th largest supplier, and oil workers are being killed. Armed militants carried out a wave of attacks across Nigeria's troubled Niger delta on Saturday, blowing up oil and gas pipelines and seizing nine foreign oil workers. The U.S. gets a ton of their oil from Nigeria. We'll have to go secure Nigeria's oil soon too!
Here is an article about the problems in Nigeria:

The energy security of the U.S. is becoming more and more fragile every day. It used to only compose of the U.S. having 5 carrier battle groups permanently stationed outside the Persian gulf. Now we're having to secure Iraq's oil, prevent Iran from creating nukes and shutting of the Straight of Hormuz, and stop Venezuela and Hugo Chavez from cutting us off from their oil.

Energy Security is going to only get harder after peak oil which will happen around 2010 too. Fun times are upon us.

Energy Markets getting Tighter...

If you can't beat 'em - Join 'em. Recently moved a substantial portion of my investments to the Oil & Gas Sector... The returns are very nice. Don't see the price of oil going down any time soon. So I figure why not get a "rebate" on what I pay at the pump. Just a thought.

BoxAv8r,

I have investments in several energy mutual funds but also in PRECIOUS METALS(GOLD) mutual funds.

Gold
isn't a bad investment, especially with:
--Global Oil Production PEAK nearing around 2010
--the mounting government debts
--the negative savings rate in America
--the housing bubble close to popping
--The insane trade imbalance which worsens yearly with the increase in oil prices.
--The coming inflation
--the baby boomers beginning to retire and the severe deficits in medicare and social security
--the inverted yield curve

I'm sure there are twenty other reasons why Gold is a good investment right now.

Gold is up to about $550 per ounce now but it was at $440 when I bought a lot of gold mutual funds in May last year when I learned of peak oil. The mutual funds usually go up even more than owning the hard metals because the profits for the gold mining companies go up so much more than just the price of the metal.

Protect yourself financially!

Does anybody remember?

Whenever I begin to believe that Israel cares about the US in some deep little brother way, I go to these websites:

www. ussliberty.org

I am always amazed, dumbfounded if you will, when I hear the liberals demand peaceful solutions, and then in the next breath praise the Mossad for their courage and and their skilled methods of stalking the world to take out the bad guys. Geez Louise which is it you guys?
