Will we have a contract by tonight? yes or no...
yes but the MEC won't release any details because its on a need to know basis and you just don't need to know....just kidding (about the yes part).
No. Probably the first quarter of '07.
Happy for the progress. Can't wait to vote NO.
I may vote NO also, but at least they're moving it along, after 4 friggin' years! And if it has what I think is fair for everyone, not necessarily for me, I'll vote YES.

You're a real arse aren't you OhSorry? Progress is being made and you still trash the MEC. What has really happened is the mediator told the company to negoiate or else he could release us for self-help. There will be more dates announced for January if the mediator feels sunstancial progress is being made.
Voted To Strike ASA!
If the mediator thinks that positive progress is made, by both sides, then additional negoatiation dates will probally be set for January. The mediator is tied up the remaining days of this month, from what I hear, to grant any more dates this month. It appears good progress is being made so hopefully this deal will wrap up in the very near future. Trashing the MEC/CNC at this point is pointless. Those who do should get involved if they know so much.

ASARJMan, we aren't "trashing" the MEC. We disagree with them as do some of the ALPA "insiders". It's great that progress is finally being made, but some of us believe this could have been done sooner.
Five TA'd this week, meeting again next week in Charleston S.C.
Really, I'm on the road and read the front page on my cell, I didn't read the full attch b/c it wouldn't open. I thought they said next week. Well Shi_t.Nope, second week of January.
We aren't "trashing" anyone. Some of us haven't agreed with the way things have been handled on ALPA's side. Are we allowed to disagree with our union, or is that not allowed? Hoser, you can disagree without "trashing" someone. By the way, I am involved in ALPA. I spent some time in the strike center, and was embarrassed by the way some of our ALPA people talked about the LJ coalition members. It was not professional.

You're a goddam, friggin' broken record. Jeez! get some new material would ya'?
It's begining to become sad to watch you babble on, even for me.
Why are you going to vote NO?
My "NO" vote is pretty much assured as well after talking with Scott Hall regarding the Company's position on scope. In a nutshell, Mr. Hall feels the only scope we have is to be paid lower than everyone else in the industry. He feels DOH at SkyWest if airplanes get transferred, or pilots go with airplanes, or fleet guarantees, or block hour guarantees, or any other alternative is "unworkable."
Certainly Capt. Hall is not the author of this position, but he illustrates management's position that ASA pilots only serve at the whim of our masters at SkyWest. Although we have more time and effort into making ASA a success than just about any senior manager at the G.O., our contribution is meaningless going forward.
Everything this side of one list is a compromise. Before the SkyWest purchase ASA pilots at least had perfect scope over ASA flying - now we don't even have that. That is a concession I am not willing to abide.
Scope is my only strike issue and it remains a strike issue, regardless of what else is in the contract.
