Republic does not have any pilots or FA's doing training in MKE. All pilot and FA training is done elsewhere. The only way they were Republic employees was if they were gate agents/ ramp crew/ operations people training, or it was an overnighting crew. There are a very select few that might think like this, but I can assure you that they are the small minority that are made up mostly of FA's as they havn't been taught better yet.

What airline has training going on in MKE right now and uses a downtown hotel? Overheard some interesting comments the other day from a few of them?

Sure, this group of twenty somethings were at the local establishment pounding a few, having fun, no big thing. We were eating also and then I heard, "screw USAir, they will be out of business soon anyway" (ie, latest announcement about 190's, I guess)

Other gems were, "I say bottom of the list", "2 years to Airbus Captain baby!"

Hopefully these guys and one half way decent looking girl ( ;) ) are not indicative of the entire Republic group. We were a bit far away to hear everything and really didn't care, but you all might want to tell these guys to watch what and where they say things. I am sure a crew from one of the airlines "saved" by RAH wouldn't have been too happy with the comments.

Two things that make me not believe this post.

Downtown hotel: RAH doesn't believe in putting crews up in hotels that their crews would enjoy.

Could you name the hotel?

Decent-looking FA: We don't have any of those.

I didn't say it was RAH, someone else did. I asked who trained in downtown MKE. Read!

I didn't say it was a hotel, it was a restaurant near my hotel.

Decent-looking FA: We don't have any of those.

Didn't say she was a F/A. Geez, comprehension not your strong point?

Republic and all the sister airlines owned by them suck. They are now the new MESA. Yes, they are bringing down the industry. They are sickening. Time for them to play with the big boys and see what it is like when you have all the cost and not just cash for departure. Independence Air II. Nobody should ever allow any of them to jumpseat anywhere and they should all get punched in the teeth anytime they are seen.

Sounds good. Why don't you give us your name, comany, and emloyee number so we can return the favor.

Fair enough on the F/A comment. However, you DID say it was a hotel. Read the first post of yours that a quoted one more time. I'll re-post the important part:
What airline has training going on in MKE right now and uses a downtown hotel?
