The best pilot shirts are provided by my company, UPS, for free. We are issued 10 shirts initially and then every year we get 3 more shirts, regardless if you need them or not.

UPS = Ugly Pants & Shirts

Not a bad deal, I don't know too many airlines paying for uniform shirts. Except my new corporate job, they pay, that's why I am looking. My old airline uniform shirts have seen better days.

You're right, they are ugly but they are free. I'm not aware of any airline other than UPS that provides your complete uniform including shirts for free. UPS even provides the flight bag and suitcase for free.

My vote is for M&H. They only way I need new ones is if I rip or stain them. I have shirts from 5 years ago that still look like new. Like Landerwood, expensive but worth every penny.

I have heard great things about the Brooks Brothers wrinkle free Oxfords. They will travel well in a suitcase and look good even on the second or third day of the trip that keeps extending without enough time to get things laundered. They are a bit pricey, but hopefully that can be absorbed by your uniform allowance.
I am going to order some next week since I start a new job Oct. 01 and will need to gear up.
I'll let you know how they are.
Cheers

ps Boomer arrives tomorrow for a few days of fun. Wish you were here!

I agree with Tim. I've been wearing Van Heusen pilot shirts since 1993. One thing though... they no longer allow orders on the 1-800 number. You have to order online at:

I think I just complimented Delta. Wow. A breakthrough.

I know what you mean. Why, I myself almost complimented a Delta Captain on achieving a nearly-normal taxi speed yesterday, until I realized it was a "Delta Maintenance" taxi.

Free Uniforms at Aloha too

I just didn't want UPS to get all of the accolades. Complete uniforms are free at Aloha too. We also get free Rollaboards and all of the Mac nuts and Pass-o-Guava we can stomach.

Uniform Tailor

Whats the tailor in Singapore charge and do you have his contact info? How soon can he get your shirts done? Thanks!

Landerwood

I met Joe Claar this afternoon in CLT. Since I was in town I got directions to his place to take a look at their shirts. Since I'm furloughed and really don't need any now anyhow, I thought I'd just take one for a "test drive" since I was in the neighborhood, and to compare against the usual available types.

What a super nice guy! I ended up buying 5. Needless to say, I was impressed with the shirts and him as a salesman. I'd highly recommend them.
