I need to purchase some new uniform shirts. Does anyone have any info on some descent, high quality shirts?

Thanks.

If you want the best shirt I would suggest Landerwood. I have been using them for years now and although they are probably the most expensive shirt I have found they are truly the best

I've used Joe Claar with Landerwood for several years.

Her offers 60/40 shirts that are extremely comfortable and very well tailored. I thought the 60/40 would wrinkle too much, but they actually look better on the second and third day than my VH and other shirts.

He ships directly to your house and will gladly take returns for any reason.

Here's his info:
Joe Claar
Landerwood Corp.
4108 Park Road
Suite 205
Charlotte, NC 28209
(888) 523-4474

Please mention my reference number (2588) - this is a shameless commercial announcement.

I also recommend the Landerwoods, but get the tapered-cut version. I'm a bigger guy around the midsection and my 17 & 1/2 fits me like a pair of MC Hammer parachute pants...

Other than that, great shirts.

vanheusen

Call their 1-800 number (you will have to look it up). They will send them directly to you at a very reduced cost. Thier pilot shirts with flaps for your rank (cant spell the E word) are what most uniform shops sell. Aks for their pilot series. About 18.00 each and a 65/35 blend.
;)

Hey what size do you wear? I have 3 Van Husen still in a bag brand new. I hate their polyester look and don't like the feel. The only thing I have seen better than Landerwood is the uniform talylor in Singapore for Singapore Airlnes.

Thanks

I am off to Singapore in 2 weeks so I may just have some made.

The best pilot shirts are provided by my company, UPS, for free. We are issued 10 shirts initially and then every year we get 3 more shirts, regardless if you need them or not.

I believe that response was completely unrelated to the question at hand. I understand that you among the Eloy get the best of everything but just remember us Morlocks do come up to the surface and snatch one of ya from time to time.

But if you get 3 additional shirts regardless if you need them or not, throw them my way will ya partna??

Free shirts! Now that's a good shirt.

UPS = Ugly Pants & Shirts

Not a bad deal, I don't know too many airlines paying for uniform shirts. Except my new corporate job, they pay, that's why I am looking. My old airline uniform shirts have seen better days.

You're right, they are ugly but they are free. I'm not aware of any airline other than UPS that provides your complete uniform including shirts for free. UPS even provides the flight bag and suitcase for free.

My vote is for M&H. They only way I need new ones is if I rip or stain them. I have shirts from 5 years ago that still look like new. Like Landerwood, expensive but worth every penny.

I have heard great things about the Brooks Brothers wrinkle free Oxfords. They will travel well in a suitcase and look good even on the second or third day of the trip that keeps extending without enough time to get things laundered. They are a bit pricey, but hopefully that can be absorbed by your uniform allowance.
I am going to order some next week since I start a new job Oct. 01 and will need to gear up.
I'll let you know how they are.
Cheers

ps Boomer arrives tomorrow for a few days of fun. Wish you were here!
