Come on man, what kind of question is that. Do you really think that ABX would buy 72s. They (ABX) are out buying for the future!! Of course its dumberg. He probably told CAT he would help them out and just take it for free, just so they don't have to park them. He always spouts off about deals but never seems to land them. Why?? Because he looking for the "blue light special" when they don't exist, then proceeds to screw it up and piss everyone off.

When you say "DHL" are you referring to DHL Holdings Or to one of the two primary ACMI carriers ( Astar or ABXA ) that supply lift for DHL made an offer for CAT A/C and pilots.

TIA

Dumberg. I like that one. You pegged it. Lots of big ideas but no big deeds.

(OPF) Opa Locka, FL
My friend told me there are just as many in the sand.

C-YA fellow CATS. I am sorry I missed the party in Rosewell. I bet is was done in true CAT style. Good luck to all and stay in touch.

Hopefully, no, you won't.

By days end tomorrow we'll know alot more about where the NEW CAT will be headed, if anywhere. Hopefully, if current management "plays ball" it will be the place to fly. The person that may buy CAT (MY BOSS) does not go for any of the typical industry treatment of crewmembers and business practices of cargo company management. I know, I'm his personal corporate pilot and someone will have an active role, day-to-day with the crewmembers interests in mind. Pay, time off, benefits and happiness will be quite nice. If it won't be profitable to run it the right way, he won't buy it.

Only thing that sucks, but it has nothing to do with the possible new company, is: Crews will have to be laid-off.

And yeah, you do come off as Mr. Negative. I hate that.

flygirl, my negativity seems to have been turned into reality. How's your job going? Still a team player for your boss?

Wow, after hearing that hilarious rumor from no less than 10 furloughed CAT employees who stay in contact with me on a regular basis, I thought they would have set the record straight by now.

"Fired", I can't stop laughing.

I can't for the life of me figure out what bunch of scumbags, or just one or two professional scumbags, would start a rumor like that, and WHY, Hmmmmm. Gosh I would love to know. If by chance your dumb ass can help me figure out who might start a rumor like that, please let me know. I'd promptly come to Ft. Lauderdale and ask them to-their-face, "why would you start that rumor?" Unlike their loser asses hiding and talking B.S.
Than they can ask me to-my-face, "why are you helping your boss by finding out inside information for the CAT deal so he doesn't get screwed over?" And I'll tell them, which should be pretty obvious to everyone WHY!

You need to remove your head from your ass and realize that rumors like this are usually started by people to help their cause.

Oh, and I have a 4-day trip coming up tomorrow, I guess being fired is a pretty good thing.

Its pretty pathetic how your life is this forum, get a job dude.

FYI, I have a job and your above rant, which I don't understand, seems very defensive.

Don't Care!

I am a pilot with CAT, "furloughed" of course, and personal I have not heard that you have been 'fired' but nor do I care whether you have been 'fired.'

What is obvious is that your "BOSS" as you describe him, has no idea as to whether "he" wants to buy CAT or not. This can be viewed as a reflection on the advice that you are giving "Your BOSS" and you knowledge of the airline/aviation business.

I am just an airline pilot/Captain, with about 20yrs. experience in the airline business (cargo, pax, scheduled, non-sched); and I can tell YOU at least a half a dozen avenues that CAT can persue to generate revenues, income/profits. I believe that CAT has even looked into some of these opportunities (some, even they may not have thought of); however, the major problem has been a "lack of commitment" on the part of Mr. Romeo. It has been quite clear for the last yr or so, that Mr. Romeo Doesn't Not want to be in the airline/aviation business "Longterm" and this has driven his business decisions regarding CAT; thus he has declined to "invest" in a future for CAT.

If "Your BOSS" cannot even make a decision as to whether he wants to buy CAT, I serious doubt if "he" knows how to make money with an airline, and lacks the desire to invest the capital needed to make money?

The current "indecision" about the 'future' of CAT has resulted in CAT losing one of its most "valuable" resources; its "most Experienced people." I have had at least 2-3 job offers, as I know that most of the "experienced" CAT crewmembers have had.

If "Your BOSS" cannot decide what he wants to do NOW, not sure if he will be able to decide (assuming he buys CAT), what he wants to do a yr. or two yrs. from now.

Additionally, I have worked for CAT for over 3 yrs, and most Your comments about the company, the people, management, and the way the company was operated, must be based on "mis-information." I am not sure where you are getting your information from, "rumor or online message boards?"

Again, Don't know whether You have been 'fired' but most of all, DON'T CARE!
