I would rather read a post that is more aligned with the way it is. Not some cryptic hints as to how wonderful it will be for CAT guys. If it would have any of the original people at all. I heard Henry George is supposed to have another PFT class going on right now. Also I don't know or care for who your boss is but if he's getting involved in anyway with Tommy Duckworth or any of the other CAT management it's going to be just another scumbag operation. So I just hope that most of the guys at CAT can find something before hanging on to false hopes from this forum on how wonderful it's going to be for them all. No Kevdog isn't being negative just realistic. I'd rather read the real deal than some utopian dream which is not going to happen. But I honestly hope I am wrong on this. I hope that CAT becomes then next FEDEX and everybody lives happily ever after.

It would be pretty irresponsible to put everything out there before even the first meeting. Just trying to straighten out some of the rumors and misinformation.

I still think that CAT can rock out with its c0ck out!! The future is bright! Hope pay raises are included in the sale! GO CAT GO!!

ThunderCat will be on the loose!! To all my fellow CATS, I hope the best for all of us, but hey if its unemployment next, I need a vacation anyway! Thundercat, and J.R. Hopefully we can crew together one last time!

Make it happen lrd

For some reason, everyone thinks that CAT is the wrost place in the world to work. For myself, and several others that I know and have flown with, it has been pretty good. The pay is comparable with other ACMI, and many others. In my opinion it beats flying for a commuter. Being home based is pretty nice. The last year I have been home 14 to 18 days a month while getting my guarantee. The benes arent there, and that sucks. I have gotten a free type and some good experience. I have met people that will be good friends for life, and wish all of us the best. If CAT is sold and things get better around here, that would be great. If not, everyone knew when they hired on that it was not a career stop. Enjoy the time you had, take your lumps and move on. I have worked at other places that are much worse. I know some have left on bad terms, and I guess that will happen. IMHO, CAT has been a great place to have some fun get some experience. If CAT is going down, lets have one more big bash.

Its over? Do you mean that CAT is done? What do you mean by plan the bash? Showuld I file for unemployment yet?

Well, its over. It was a fun ride while it lasted. To all my fellow CATs out there, good luck, hope everyone can find a job quick. Ok, so who is hiring now? I need a job.

What happened?

So, why isn't anyone saying what happened? This is why I don't agree with how 747flyboy was going about things. If I am to guess, nothing good has happened in the last couple of days. But his posts were probably getting people's hopes up when it wasn't warranted. Not good to play with people's hopes like that. I hope I'm wrong, and I've read these cryptic posts incorrectly, but if I'm right, maybe this won't happen again in the future.

What happened?

What the management at CAT knew would happen ever since UPS purchased Menlo Forwarding in the fall of 2004 and rested on their laurels waiting for some secret investor to bail them out and find them work. Well surprise, no one wants CAT, simple as that. On the bright side, most of us can now move on with our careers and hopefully get closer to the light at the end of the tunnel. Because for most us who put our faith in the management team at CAT to find other work for our 727's and grow the airline with a new equipment type, have apparently misplaced our faith in the wrong people. I truly feel the FO's who had no future at CAT are better off now, because now they have no reason to cling to CAT, and for the captains who have over 1000 PIC turbine, most should be able to get with a better carrier. My heartfelt sympathy to the FE's who don't have a lot of choices out there though.

Now we can truly say..."Thunder cats are on the move, thundercats are loose!!!!!"
