Flight attendant transition class number 3 of AirTran FA's rode back on SWA to ATL post graduation. Lead SWA FA gets on the PA and has the whole plane welcome and congratulate the former Trannies to SWA. Really nice gesture. There is alot more civility and maturity out there than this thread suggests.

What I know, flyvixen, is that you have NOT been taught to react like that by Swa. Nor was the FA recording.
The proper response is to respond with kindness, firm in the 40+ year history of Swa- tell them they can do better, but know change can take time and patience and for all anyone's complaints, what can't be argued is how much change, contentiousness, and uncertainty AT pilots have been flying through in the last 6+ years-
You don't have to agree, but show everyone you care and life will be good

I've only flown with one FAT FO so far.

It was his first trip off IOE and he knew the procedures cold. If he didn't tell me, I would've thought he was an organic SW hire.

We spent a lot of time discussing bidding, ELITT etc.

He's a great guy, great pilot and we had a great 4 day trip! Looking forward to flying with him again.

Got info today that one of our "Airtran Family" members was bad mouthing SWA on a crew van, one of our FAs video taped the rant on her phone and posted it to face book. She confronted him about it on the van told him if he did not like SWA to move on and then told him she posted it to face book. He then blew up some more and demanded she remove it.

She was later called into the supervisors office and told good job but now you have to take it down.

I wish the company would wake up and understand what is coming in the way of future employees as these people transition over to the SWA side. SWA just keeps showering them with sugar and praise all the while they are plotting and sewing seeds of discontent.

I can tell you right now if and when I have to fly with one of them, if I hear one complaint or any bitching that FO will be pulled ASAP. I am not going to take any of the ALPA complaining from these lotto winners. I am going to have them pulled and will be sending the IRs out at the speed of light............
