The answer is easy and obvious

Unless you are very uninformed or misinformed, the decision is a no-brainer. If you can get to work and live with the NetJets domiciles, go to NetJets. If you can't get to work at the NetJets domiciles but you live close enough to one of the 25 CS domiciles, go there. While the 7/7 base salary is slightly higher at CS, the overall compensation at NJA is far and away the best.

This is good solid, sound advice. Commuting will seriously diminish the quality of life associated with any job. I did it for two years and it is horrible. Don't try to think ten years down the road which choice will be better. This works well on Wall Street , not in this industry. Go with what will give you immediate satisfaction TODAY and make your life easier and more enjoyable.

Net jets....

much better rules... seniority based system (read no bubba club) and rules to have the company pay you for your time and effort...not just a salary like you'll get at CS. You don't get reimbursed for tips you give to the fbo's and many other incentives that require the company to pay you when you get screwed around w/..... meaning long days or not getting home on time... you also have a union looking out for you... your PM at CS will always cave into what jon (cheif pilot) wants to do... like I said you have no say at CS...the reason why you don't hear much on this board is most guys are scared to say anything for fear of reprisals.... cs is a great place to be for a few years but netjets will be a career move for you...cs is not. you will get so fed up w/ their b/s that you will wish you went to netjets w/in a few months... cs wants limo drivers...not pilots.

Glad you're gone...now just keep your mouth shut you trader.

Well stated. As a follow-up question, is the schedule at CS only 7/7? I know NJ has the 7/7 and an 18-day flying reserve also.
