hi everyone! i was able to dodge the clouds enough today to fly solo to gainesville, FL and back on my first solo X-C. it was pretty uneventful but a lot of fun, nonetheless. tomorrow i get to knock-out my long, and i was wondering if you know of any cool airports to go to? i am based at new smyrna beach, just south of daytona, on the east coast of florida. any ideas?

Hey, I did IAH the other day for my long IFR X-C in a 172.

Houston and Atlanta are a little different!!

isn't it 150nm straightline, with stops at 2 other airports and one 100nm leg?

I thought it had to be 250nm. Maybe that for the Commercial

Fernandina Beach??? Why? I dunno......

How bout' Miami and then south to the Keys?

SAV is a good one, PFN, APF if you like BBQ (mickelbobs), West Palm (do the shuttle tour if they still allow that).

as for going to the keys, i don't think that student pilots are allowed to fly over the ocean like that, are they?
