Where do you draw the "entertainment" line in the cockpit?

Re: Where do you draw the "entertainment" line

Perhaps you missed it, but I just referred to myself in my last past as an AirTran "lifer." It's only a pejorative if you perceive it that way.

I didn't miss it. You used the term "lifer" in the context of referring to Pinnacle and airlines like it as a "stepping stone." We all know what you meant.

That's not the attitude I want my union leadership to have. It's not useful or effective for improving the quality of life at the "stepping stone" airline if the MEC leadership is trying to get out.

The major thrust of the Comair strike was "a pilot is a pilot is a pilot" ie all contracts should look more or less the same or parity on scale. To do that, you have to have a pilot group willing to go to the mat to get it and that comes from the top down. If the leadership is just marking time on their way to their dream job and maintains the preconceived notion that they work at a stepping stone airline, it won't happen, no matter how much you ballyhoo ALPA.
