MAGNUM!! said:Sorry. How the F was I supposed to know he wasn't serious? Can't tell tone in a post. Thought I was helping the guy out, Huck. We DO have new hires on the MD-11. Next time I'll just make fun of him, that way if he IS serious, he'll feel like a moron.

sandman2122 said:Or a former Airbus ground school instructor, "Clay M.", and ask why he's blocked his schedule.................a retired USAF guy getting widebody pay shouldn't need to fly extra......but then again it's Clay I'm talking about.

I think the LAX pilots get it too.
Scheduling called me again for another LAX based draft trip back out to HNL but I respectfully declined, but I also got the flight number as well. Guess who is flying the trip...a MEM based FO. Hard to say if it is DFT or not, it looks like he just finished ITU training and might have been given the trip on a custom built line.
Regardless, we need to start looking in the mirror ask whey enough is enough.
Brian a300 said:Memphis gets it, stop complaining and don't worry about others, all u can do is your job and nothing else. It doesn't pay to point fingers, many of us in Collierville refuse draft on a daily basis, just say no! Good luck..
No, it doesn't pay but most pilots will be less inclined to do a DFT trip if they know they are going to catch a rash of $hit for it from their coworkers.
With UPS possibly getting thier deal done it could potentially help us with peak season around the corner. If you were the customer that HAD to get those Xmas presents to family who do you want flying them...pilots with or without a contract?
Again, lets put the pressure on NOW, not later. Why not do everything possible WITHIN the contract that is legal?
He, he, pretty funny - no I'm not a stalker, I happened to see one of Hunter's shows on Discovery (or TLC, MTV, CMTV or whatever) and wondered if he was still flying the line.Hotel STBY pairings also in ANC in open time.
Hunter has had his sked blocked since he was on TV the first time. He still does a lot out in LA from what I understand, so probably blocking so we do not see how little he works. Maybe he is trying to avoid the stalkers finding out what hotel he is in since he is a "famous" TV star. Sandman are you a stalker?

Just becuase he's a good dude doesn't make him exempt from being called out for flying extra..........glad to hear he hasn't quit.
The good dudes don't fly extra.sandman2122 said:Just becuase he's a good dude doesn't make him exempt from being called out for flying extra

It looks like he is back though...or not...maybe Brian a300 knows:laugh:
MAGNUM!! said:I got a call on the 3rd. They switched my RB on the 5th to RA. They met the 18 hr deadline, but it seriously irritated me. Instead of j/s online on the morning of the 5th (thereby enjoying my July 4 BBQ), I had to off line on the evening of the 4th.
I politely informed the scheduler that I bid RB for a reason (as a non-junior guy), and that reason was to have the July 4 weekend off. I told her that it would be incredibly difficult to travel on the holiday on such short notice, but that I would do what I could. Her reply to me? A very curt "well, we have an operation to run here." I almost went postal. However, since all conversations are recorded, I bit my lip and said "goodbye."
I know it was legal, but I manage my schedule properly and so should they. But, I guess they don't really have to here in Memphis. We have guys that will fly whenever scheduling gets in a bind, no matter what. Nice.
