fartknocker said:Does anyone have intel as to when pilots waiting in the pool will start class at FedEx? I have heard maybe April. Any ideas on how big the classes might be?
When does the current big bid close? How long will it take for the dust to settle from that? Any thoughts?
PurpleTail said:Anything anyone says will be pure speculation. The company has not said anyhting but 'things are on hold for a couple of months'.
The new training bid has not been released yet but probably will be later this week or first of next week. Once it does come out it will take about month to close and then another couple of weeks for training dates to come out.
Estimate next newhire classes in mid-late April at the earliest, May is probably a more accurate guess. The poolies will be 'hand picked' for classes so it might not matter when you interviewed or when you got the call saying 'Congrats, you're in the pool' phone call.
So in summary...Stand by, hold short, you are in the Congo line!

Where did you get the 70% hired stat? That sounds low compared to the number I heard?fartknocker said:I have heard they hire about 70% of the folks that interview. If that is true, then there should already be over 100 pilots in the pool. Any thoughts?
