bad for the rest, military guys will love it.

No, it would be good for everyone in this profession. Deregulation has torn this profession down, one brick at a time. Regulation would bring back job stability and improved work conditions and pay.

I don't know if anyone said it but I think a national seniority list is could solve most of the problems.

You guys are on the right track, but I think a more workable scenario is the establishment of a National "Pilot Guild", kind of like the Bar or AMA.

Basically, we set a minimum rate of pay for each aircraft (think Delta 2001 rates). From a certain day forward, NO pilot will fly an aircraft for less than Guild rates. Period. Your union can negotiate something BETTER, but never less than Guild.

All pilots currently flying for a 121 carrier (or who have in the past) are grandfathered in. Anyone wishing to fly for a 121 from that day forward must become a Guild member. The number of pilots admitted to the Guild would be set by the Guild.

Anyone who from that day forward flys anything for less than Guild rates is kicked out of the Guild, and since he is not a Guild member, he cannot fly for a US 121 carrier.

Maybe the same thing you were the morning before your CAL interview that you flubbed?

Just a thought... ;)

Pay no attention to Pocoanyhole. She is still bitter being the only female ever turned down by CAL.

But back to the question at hand for her, I believe Poco's long term strategy is illegal in all the states except for Nevada.

You are going to make guild membership a 121 reg?

Oh yeah, I forgot, CAL has a great contract. Not gutted and voted in by all. Oops, excuse me for not knowing that.

Or where they are gutting the regional feed to crappy props. How lame.

I guess I missed the part where they pay new hires insurance too. LOL

Girls like you have always been jealous of me. It's really nothing knew to me.

My theme song should probably be by the Pu55y Cat Dolls. LOL

Ty's got the right idea. ALPA should grow a pair and set minimum rates for all aircraft starting with the next contract negotiated.

No more "loose affiliation of locals" BS. Start acting like a union.

Doubtful. I prefer not to spend my money on copays for experimental antibiotics.

I was thinking something along the lines of At 17 by Janis Ian. Between that and your rejection does explain a lot of the reasons for your incessant cackling on here.

All contracts are local in nature

That is why they are called locals. What about non-ALPA locals, AAL, SWA, AirTran, etc.

It kinda sucks when you have to have an ATP to go on to bigger and better things

well, there has to be some way to separate you from a thousand other bubbas. if you have the motivation to get the job you want, and it requires an ATP, you'll do what it takes to get the ATP.

I guess it would suck for lazy folks who expect to be given something without having to work for it or pay their dues.
