Any news as to merger updates? recalls? new contract? Stability? they Like Mesa pilots?:p anyone? I hear things arent going to well over there

-Contract negotiations ongoing, merger at completion
-Last group of furloughs 5/31/09: 62 total so far
-Stability...
-We have Mesa Alums here and other former RJ operators
-It always could be worse but the uptick hopefully is not too far off...
Good luck!

Like any other airline backgrounds are diversified. There were a lot of Kitty Hawk guys is the last round of hiring but also military, Evergreen, Gemini, ATA, Omni, Delta, and a few regionals. For obvious reasons they like to hire pilots that have heavy jet and international experience. There is also a big effort amongst those doing the hiring to find people who can handle the schedule and flying environment. Both have been issues in the past.

What are the schedules like? Is Atlas having a hard time keeping the pilots they hire? how do they determine if an applicant is right for the job?

Can any Atlas/Polar pilots speak to the difficulty of the schedules? Any examples?

Also, are you constantly tired from the time zone changes and long hours of flight or is that not really a problem?
