I heard he was innocent of the charges and released, and is now mopping up his life after the false accusations.

Yes but the dumba$$ still had consensual sex with a 16 year old girl in a stairwell.

SC, my post followed the one that reported the case as though it had been tried already. Your lecture just looks vindicative considering that I had already apologized on my own with no prompting from the sidelines.

There are a number of areas where management and the union share common concerns. Safety and the company's reputation are just two examples. A respectful relationship between the two groups offers the best chance for mutually beneficial solutions. That should be everyone's goal.

Lots of NJ pilots know who I am. And some from Options...and Flex...and Avantair...and a few regional pilots...a corporate pilot or two...numerous wives....a flight attendant...a military pilot interested in NJ... If I missed anyone that sent a PM, it was an oversight. I do hope none of you were looking for MANAGEMENT, because if so, my replies must have been very confusing. ;) Netjetwife

Basically: Had consensual sex with a young girl in a stairwell in ATL while in uniform commuting to work on the company dime. Girl was of legal age according to the laws of GA. When they were caught after being reported to security, the girl cried rape. Pilot was arrested and fired from the company for being really stupid. Was jailed pending trial until the security tapes pretty much proved that the girl was a willing/enthusiastic participant. All charges dropped. Pilot didn't get his job back though.

So he did a dumb thing, not a criminal thing. Thanks for making that clear. Again, I am sorry that I didn't question the first post on the subject. I had taken it to mean the pilot was on his way to prison. I can understand that the company chose to fire a pilot who brought embarrassment to the company and so thoroughly confused his work time with his leisure time. Not smart! What a tough lesson to learn, though!

He was a Flight Options pilot, and someone at the time said he didn't know her age, though 16 is the age of consent in GA. She ought to be the one in prison for false accusation and false imprisonment.

She should be punished, yes. Sued for the legal expenses and time in jail, but not for getting him fired. That mistake was his.
