SOURCE!If Skywest votes in ALPA, it will make a seniorty list integration go much smoother. As it is right now, the only one speaking for Skywest pilots is ASA management on their latest Section 1 Proposal when they included a clause for how ASA pilots would transfer. Yes, I know the clause was dung, but just the fact that there was something in there was quite a leap.

Calm down francis! The REAL history of alpa comes down to LOWERING THE BAR! That is E-X-C-A-T-L-Y what happened. Something alpa lovers, love to say never happend.......BUT IT DID! THEBESTDon't be an idiot. This is a discussion board, when someone offers their opinion don't yell at them, it's annoying. Try doing a little research yourself; ALPA.org is a good start. Someone else suggested reading Flying the Line Volumes 1 and 2. These books provide a comprehensive history of ALPA.

You're kidding right? Have you ever followed past seniority list integrations? Like AA and TWA or how about the one going on right now between US Airways (AAA) and America West, I wouldn't exactly call that "smooth"
Why would that happen? You've been at SkyWest 5 years and you honestly haven't seen a downward trend in that time period with respect to QOL and labor/mgmt relations? What makes you think that ALPA will drive a wedge between SGU and the pilot group? I would argue that there is already a chasm between the groups. The only thing that can bridge that gap is some leverage on the part of the pilot group.I for one have to say that bringing alpa into skywest will drive a wedge between management and the pilots thus causing management to respond the only way they know how....stick it to labor. I for one don't want this to happen here. I have loved working for this company for five years now and say vote "NO" on alpa.
