I was responding to a particular post. ALPA has allowed SCABS back into the fold...further polluting the profession.

Reference CAL? Or the upcoming Airtran vote?

If the in house union allowed scabs to become members in good standing and said in house union then decides to merge with another union, ALPA for example, then ALPA by law has to accept all members in good standing. The new union cannot pick and choose what members it wants. That would be illegal.

So the issue is with in house unions that take in scabs and provide membership.

And the in-house union at CAL is who again? And the wannabe in-house union at -tranny is who?

Every pilot group ALPA adds to the clan is money in the bank...plain and simple. Nothing more...

ALPA sold a generation of pilots down the river...admit it.

Reminds of the guy who was running for governor of Texas back in the late 80's. He said, and I paraphrase, "If you are going to get raped (age 65 ruling), and it is inevitable (with or without us, they are going to pass it), just sit back and enjoy it (we don't care what the membership says, we know more and therefore will unzip the dudes pants for him)."
