Did I lie? I speak the truth, and the truth will set you free... You do get paid 1/2 of the deadhead flight time, but his point is that it will take him 8 hours to get from point A to point C, but since the flight time will only add up to around 5 hours, he'll get "less than 3 hours pay credit". Not too shabby, since you're getting paid not a penny more than "the industry average".

Drive to philly, let colgan pay the miles and the parking and go direct to BUF. Thats my advice. Otherwise hope for a weather event the day of the flight and you'll be lucky to make it to LGA.

Yeah, I remember doing a PVD-LGA-ITH-ELM deadhead to my first trip off IOE. That was almost as fun as the PVD-ALB-BTV-PLB trip I took for my interview. If I remember correctly I left PVD at around 8 a.m. and got to Plattsburgh at about 5 p.m. Fun times!
