If your looking for cheap (free) enterainment, check out the Scottsdale Hyatt over on Doubletree Ranch Road. It's a big resort, open to the public. The whole back end of the resort is an extremelty large continous swimming pool, a waterfall, an artifical beach, gardens to walk through (over the pools), canals that you can take Gondola rides on, firepits at night, and lots of beautiful scenery. Sit there and listen to the live entertainment - typically Senoran music with Spanish dancers, or walk around the grounds and just enjoy the serene and relaxing enviroment. Celebrities stay their occasionally, so you never know who you might see.

If you want to venture a few miles away from Scottsdale, be sure and go downtown and grab a burger at Alice Coppers 'Cooperstown' over by the America West Arena. It's like a big Alice Cooper Hard Rock Cafe meets Sports Grille type place. With a little luck, he'll stop by while your there as well. All the waiters wear the black paint underneath their eyes, so that's always a little different.

Although it'll cost you a bit more then a $14 sandwich, venture north east of town, and visit the Pinnacle Peak Patio. It's a dining experience you won't find anywhere else! Always entertaining, live entertainment, and lots of fun. Theirs thousands of ties and business cards stapled all around the ceilings, and walls. The rule is if you wear a tie to the restaunt, they will cut it off with a pair of scisccors and staple it to the wall. This isn't a "tie place" this is a have fun, roll your sleeves up, and don't take yourself serious kind of place.

If you go to Sedona, rent a Jeep and check out some of the bunny trails there. Might be able to line you ups with someone for a good deal. :)

Or meet up with the local club and try more then the bunny trails.

Or head to Jermone and check out the old mining town and it's history. Great place for pictures up there.

If you've got time off during the summer, you've gotta go Salt River Tubing. It's just east of town and about $13 for an inner tube rental. Bring an old sheet to wrap the tube in, 'cause they get hot. Plus bring another few bucks if you need a small inner tube to float your beer-packed cooler. Plan on about 4 hours of float time. Hundreds of people float it on the weekends and they ALL have coolers of beer floating along side. Get there early and bring some serious sun block, like SPF 1,000,000.

Also check out Dos Gringo's in SDL for $3 Corona's all day every day, or you can go to the Dos Gringo's in Tempe for $2 Corona's.
-Sugardaddy's bar in south Scottsdale also, it's a sweet place with a huge outdoor deck and beautiful women everywhere.
-Four Peak's brewery in Tempe is great...good beer, good food, and college aged waitresses...we call it Two Peaks 'cause of all the ladies.

Greasewood Flats near Scottsdale if you enjoy a campfire, beer, live music, horseshoes and some mighty fine cowgirls. The Library in Tempe if you enjoy beer, dancing and scantily dressed ASU college girls......a must see! You may not want to go anywhere else........

New mexican joint just opening up called...the Pink Taco. No joke, it was featured on local news. You gotta go there just for the name.

Speaking of which, I've been meaning to drive down there to pick up one of those " I ate at the Pink Taco" t-shirts (a must have item), and I'm sure my wife will just love it :)

I'll second the motion on Sugar Daddy's! Music, booze, and women. Also, a very diverse crowd, everyone from biker types to investment bankers.

Take a train to mormonland !!! ;) more fun over there as you can read here on this forum!! lol

There's been a Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Casino in Vegas for quite awhile now, must be the same outfit. It's pretty good too.
