I reread your statement again and finally got it. You do not believe GoJet has any pilots other than management so it must be management that voted the union in on it's own. An interesting proposition which I wonder about. Why would management volunteer to form a union on their property? That being said my belief was that they must have line pilots or they would not have been able to hold an election. I believe that the group of employees voting have to be certified as non-management ( I admit to not being positive on the rules which is one of the reasons I have written anything on this board, to see if I could acquire knowledge from others who have it) If the employees vote for a union they would be represented by that union. I believe it was posted on this board a few weeks ago that they had voted for the Teamsters. Thus, they would be represented by them, (provided the government certifies the election). I don't believe that management can cause the implementation of a union at any airline. My sarcastic comment was that if they could pull off such a feat then they indeed are very talented. I was not trying to have it "both ways".
My interest in writing on this thread is to get as much information out about a new and potentially major employer in the coming years. The more info that is put out here for all of us to see will help a lot of people in deciding where they may wish to work in the future.
I hope that helps explain my statements. Thanks for asking.
