WOW that's quite a threat. What's going to happen if my name would end up on that list? Are you going to blacklist me from getting a job? Too late, I already fly for a major. Are you ging to blacklist me from getting a jumpseat? Too bad, I live in my domicile and my airline provides me tickets to position/deposition to trips. I love it when commuter pilots make threats. Thank God my airline hires mostly former military pilots.

No sir, it is not a threat. But given the current circumstances and similar past events, there's almost no question that these actions might be taken. I'm glad you already have a major job in domicile with all the perks. However, given the state of our profession at this time, you out of all people should know that none of those things are concrete. All you have to do is look at your peers at UAL, USair and TWA just to name a few. NO, this also is not a threat, just pure historical fact. As for the military thing, my humble respect and gratitude to all of them for their service to our country. I can assure you however, that I can couple an ILS and program and FMS just as good as you can.

My statement was merely in support of a group of pilots that appears to be in direct attack from their management. An attack that could have long lasting effects that one day may even impact your level.

Without concern for the right or wrong, etc...

How is it possible (logistically) to make a list, and to use that list for anything useful. I don't understand what that list would do. In this day of HR and corporate america, I don't think the list would ever make it to the hiring people.

Am I wrong?

After the person on the list gets a job, what good is the list? To make sure they don't have fun on overnights? Bash their car windows in?

This "flight manager" now turned gojet union rep is the same guy who ran for the Trans States ALPA MEC position. when he wasn't voted in, he became a flight manager and from what I heard is the assistant chief pilot/teamster MEC chairman. Yep, the only pilots there right now would be him, the director of flight operations and the chief pilot as far as I know. Good idea, make it a union operation so alpa and the teamsters go at it!

is all this worth $1.17 per hour more for the pilots?

nynameisjim;

have you ever interviewed at an airline? there are always a few pilots doing that right? not always the HR people and corporate america.

Now...because of a technicality whit our American contract we cannot operate these aircraft as Trans States Airlines. OK fine, we understand that. So why can we not have one list?

.... funny how what goes around comes around ....

That's exactly what we Eagle guys were thinking a few years ago after the TWA merger went thru and our EMJ's were going to TSA and CHQ instead of us. It's not too fun being on the other end of things.

I'll have to laugh if a few years down the road an alter-ego is created for GoJets. Wouldn't be surprised.

Frankly I don't consider UAL, USAir and the other legacy passenger airlines my peers. I only consider one other airline my peer and they are also associated with a color. The fact is that GoJet will GO and there will be THOUSANDS of applicants beating their doors down trying to get a job there. Until you commuter guys quit flying for peanuts places like GoJet will continue to exist and thrive. But then again you commuter guys love the sight of a shiny new jet don't you!

Why yes, yes I do ! It beats the hell out of my hunk of fu@# MU-2, yeah the one with over 6 deferrals and another 6 not in the books cos it would ground it.
I'm getting a little frustrated at all the Union ranting that goes on at the regionals, amazingly the loudest voices are from those silver spooners that rode their daddy's check into the left seat, I'm done paying over 15 years of dues so the heavy metal drivers can make the check they deserve, I paid dues to ensure that I would have something similar to look forward to when I finally ' got there ', well guess what, it aint there and it aint gonna be there, so I paid dues for nothing and it's time to do something other than fly over 106 hours a month in something with steam guages half of which don't work, preferably before I get killed or get a violation.
Just my 2 cents, but if they call I'm going, I want my shiny jet !!!

Commuter guys don't love the sight of shiny new jets; low time CFIs who hate flying cherokees and cessnas love the sight of shiny new jets. They are SO TIRED of instructing/traffic watch/etc that they are oblivious to the fact most won't make more than 30K until year 4 or they make Captain. They get a fancy uniform and jumpseat privilages and the title of "airline pilot".

Places like GoJet will continue to thrive for THIS REASON, not current pilots jumping ship. There will always be short-sighted people who are more concerned with furthering themselves at the expense of others. As long as CFIs are paid crumbs, they'll take any job with a raise as they struggle to get their piece of the pie.

Please enjoy your Mad Dog and good luck getting your new contract, and leave the "commuter" issues to us.

Until you "big jet" @$$holes stop throwing fuel on the fire and scoping us out instead of embracing us, this is going to continue. You keep wanting to fight us instead of letting us join you.

Case and point: CAL and COEX.

A few years ago, many on both properties had the vision to beat the mainline/regional whipsaw and try to push for a single seniority list between both properties. It would have solved 99% of the problems you mentioned with the stroke of a pen.

The problem though were the SCABS and the very senior F/O's over there that expected us to "pay our dues" and get a mainline job the old fashioned way. I guess the SCABS meant for us to cross a line too. Many of the CAL pilots supported the idea of a SSL also.

The long story short, as it still is, the SCABS at CAL always get their way. The SSL issue died by lack of interest on the CAL side. They have since thrown us out of the single MEC we had. Now they are reaping their rewards. WE get a big fat payraise, THEY take big consessions. Yes, the single MEC idea worked great.... For US! The SCABS MEC gets brain cancer, and their surgical procedure is to cut off the whole head. I was and still am a big fan of working together, but our mainline guys are not.

Now that all of this is over, I say Fu*k them. Now that we have no more flowthrough, my only complaint is that we are not taking enough of CAL's flying. Many of us saw the big picture and tried to do something about it. The mainline guys just shunned us away and told us to apply like everyone else.

For now, I'll take my chances on making XJT the highest paid as possible with good work rules, and make a nice home for our pilots right here. The problem is not at the regional level my friend, it's with you guys that already have it and do not give a sh*t about anybody that might be junior to you or on a different seniority list.

The major airline pilots invented the phrase "It's all about ME". Well, I guess the time has come for us regional guys to start thinking the same thing... Enjoy your concessions.

Actually, he is right on but forgot something. The legacy carrier furloughed guys are going to these places under J4J and prefferential hiring to support sh!t holes with low wages. I've been hearing some of our CQFOs complaining about flying the J41 and that going to GoJets is the only way to get off that thing. Most of those guys are mainline furloughed pilots that decided to come and be a CPT on the 41 because mangt wanted to screw are pilot group some more, and now they are b!tching about it and saying they're ready to go to GoJets. Shiney new jet syndrom!

TIGV-- You haven't a clue what your talking about. GoJets isn't Trans States, but it is the same people running the show. Therefore, your going to be wishing you only had 6 orange stickers on your log can. I guess you won't be frustrated when your flying 106 hrs. (sitting in the PB) and getting paid for 87 hrs. sitting behind your CRTs.

BoilerUP-- Your pretty clueless yourself. There are plenty of oppurtunists in the ranks of regionals and larger carriers that will be and have been jumping at these oppurtunities.

The funniest thing is that we will be DHing on gojets planes and they on TSA's, but there will never be a jumpseat agreement between the two!!

We already fly 50 seaters for too little comp, don't be a butthead and fly something bigger for even less compensation. If you knew nothing, wouldn't that simple little statement make some sense?

Good luck J@CKA$$E$ !!

You need to go to the TSA lounge and see for yourself how many CURRENT commuter pilots are going to GoJet. According to them lots of Corpex and Chicago express pilots are going there. They don't seem to be scared by your proposed "blacklist"

I was flying at Trans States when you were still shi**ing yellow......boy, On the old contract $17.50 an hour for the gear swingers an' a buck o-five per diem, back when it was Third World Express.
I'm well aware of exactly what I'm talking about, but I'm not going to sit here and do this nonsense for another 15 years mate and I don't have to defend my right to career advancement after paying my dues to ANYONE, least of all you my friend.
The payscale/contract is not set in stone and depending on who is voted onto the property, will change, like they all do, come the next negotiations.
Take a Pill, relax and let me ride Uncle Hulas's new venture right to the next vote mmmkay ?

Aren't you to old to be acting like a child? To suggest that all commuter pilots have no idea of self worth is plain ignorant. Your posts make you sound like you have no idea of reality. It is very amusing. There are alot of young guys at commuters making alot of money with a good quality of life and there are alot of commuter guys flying with you at FedEx or wherever you fly. Come to think of it you were some former commuter guys gear bitch at some point in your life. Next time you go to jumpseat on a commuter I dare you to tell them how you really feel. Introduce yourself and say,
Until you commuter guys quit flying for peanuts places like GoJet will continue to exist and thrive. But then again you commuter guys love the sight of a shiny new jet don't you!
That along with your award winning personality ought to get kicked in the face.

First off, I'm not your boy you F'n REDNECK!

Secondly, you have obviously made some poor career moves as to be this desperate, and didn't learn very much the first time you were flying for Hulas.

Be my guest, become another over-worked, under-paid, "monkey-suite" wearing pilot to "ride Uncle Hulas's new venture right to the next vote mmmkay ?" I won't stop you.

Then what the heck are you doing cruising the Regional boards? Do you still get a rental tux and hang out at the high school prom too?

I don't have to beg for a jumpseat on a commuter, I live in my domicile and my airline provides tickets to position/deposition trips if needed. I also try my best to avoid riding on commuters but with the proliferation and taking of mainline routes it's gettting harder and harder to avoid riding on one. Thankfully a majority of my trips either originate in domicile or when needed to commercial, they start in markets not served by commuters.

Nice mind-droppings !!!

As I already mentioned, that was in fact my plan all along, and it didn't require your permission, or in fact your opinion, always impressive how chaps like you can grow a bag through forums like these, jump on down to MKC, I'll buy you a glass of milk and we'll talk about it like pros.....

Oh, I get it now. So working for some contract cargo carrier is so much better with your 15 days on. I've seen your payscales. Not really that much better than the commuter's unless you fly for the real cargo carriers which is not the case with you. Bet if you lose your contract, you be more that happy to chase an airplane that actually has paint on it.

Now who is looking desperate. I take it you didn't go there by choice, did you?
