Back in the old days they hired 25 year olds out of ERAU and guys without college degrees. Now they hire military pilots because they can, just like DAL and UAL back in their glory days.

RUNNINHORN said:sorry, didnt mean to come across with a lax attitude, I am very passionate about flying for them, just trying to figure out which path to take, cargo or corporate with Fedex.

I have been flying the line for approximately 2 years, but have worked for the company for more than 20 years. The path I chose was not an easy one, but I chose not to listen to all the NAY SAYERS who said I would never achieve my goal. I chose not to listen to all the negative comments related to my pursuits. However; I will say that dealing with these did build character.
My best advice for you is to stay focused on the goal, adopt a 'can-do' attitude, and do your best to not let the negative comments get you down.
Also; continue to stay in touch with Mr. Logue, he can be very helpful in your career pusuits at FedEx.
