I'd like to know what pilots @ other airlines (not AWA/AAA) think about the position USAPA has taken that they will get a "cost neutral" (crap concessionary) contract through the pilot group as long as management plays along with the seniority re-write?

Do you think another bad contract passed on the USAir property will be used against you in your contract negotiations (i.e. we need to compete w/ USAir)? Or do you think it has little to no effect on other contracts around the industry?

USAPA is a SCAB organization...I'd put nothing past them. The thing they seemingly refuse to understand is the fact that every single section of their contract is up for re-negotiation except the one they're promising the East guys. The seniority issue is settled. period. Empty promises from a law firm that gets paid either way is nothing to hang your career on. Idiots.

I very much doubt that usapa holds that position. The position they are holding is that they are not joining the jnc until parity is achieved which along w/ the usapa drive itself is part of the plan to delay, delay, delay and take advantage of the growth on the east side w/o sharing it w/ the west through the nic award. So far it's working- but as low as their bk contract is- it's about as bad as doing what you said... This past summer was such a good time to get a real contract in- Management loves AAA for not taking advantage of that. awa needs to sue aaa and alpa for not following the transition agreement and get them back to the jnc and implement the nic award.

And this stance was posted where?

And what is your source?

I don't really have a dog in the fight but I'm wondering if this is just your interpretation
of some thing you've heard passed across a couple of airports?
Or maybe, was this something you might have rememberd from a dream......... ??????????

I went back and looked at the source... it was on the alpa webboards and was devoid of any proof of authenticity. So i recind my statement as i have no proof of their position.

now... how do you delete a thread???
