Just wondering what other airlines do for their employees for the holidays. Cards? Bonus? gift certificates? or NOTHING.

MY company.....NOTHING.

Eagle... Nothing.

DA.MN! I wish I had said that. VERY VERY WELL SAID!

Merry Christmas. (very good):)

You would wish you had said that. You are in essence, mediocrity. Get an education and some self respect. Oh, and Merry Christmas to you too.

We got a memo that said you would be fired if you called in sick over the holiday. It wasn't really for christmas, though; it went from before thanksgiving until after new years.

...Dumb
Management is not the company. We all are the company. But the management seems to reward themselves as if they are the company and we are not.

Made the pilots drive 40 minutes for a meeting and then gave us $40 for showing up - oh yeah - this might be the Christmas Bonus....Boy I'm loved!

Wrong, ASA. Most pay for themselves in fuel savings alone. Not that a Christmas bonus is that important, but a little give and take is.

You bring up a valid point, Captain Caveman. Pilots should be rewarded for saving fuel and disciplined for wasting it. If I were Management, I would lay out detailed guidelines on fuel, and any pilot who deviated from this plan would have to defend his actions. Also any pilot who came up with a brilliant idea to share would be well compensated. Yes, I'm a "Company Man." I'm also a "Union Man." We are all in this business together. Continuing to pit Employees vs Management surely will bring down our companies.

However, this still has nothing to do with a Christmas Bonus. You are correct. Management should give us bonuses. And as pilots, $5 from each of 2,000 pilots would buy a very nice catered lunch for say, Schedulers, Crew Planners, Upper Management, etc. Just imagine the looks on their faces and what goodwill might lie ahead if pilots did this.

Was told I'd be furloughed soon, but if I wasn't then I should gross around 15K next year. Unless of course I get that 17% paycut that Ive been hoping for. Was made to sit reserve in a domicile that I can't move my family to... because it doesn't actually exist now. Hoping to be lined up, spit on and shot for new years! But I'm flying a jet!!! Wow this is cool!
