When you're in a union, you work within your contract. Most pilots refuse to perform any functions outside of their contract. If at Christmas you would like Management to provide you with a bonus, write it into your next contract. If you're looking for extra-contractual "goodwill," the question is, did the pilots all organize and chip in to buy something for Management? Or does this goodwill only go one way?

WTF? Are you on crack?

AWAC got us dinners on Thanksgiving and again on Christmas. I wasn't around for Thanksgiving, but I'll be sure to get some food on Christmas. From what I can remember, this is the first time they have done that. (I think.)

A step in the right direction...

S.
ASA did the same for us. Some management folks came out to serve. Some folks still complained. I thought it was a nice gesture. Nice to see someone else appreciated it.

DA.MN! I wish I had said that. VERY VERY WELL SAID!

Merry Christmas. (very good):)

My company (XJ) called today to either wish me a Merry Christmas or it was to junior man me - I'm not sure,, however, it was worth a good laugh when I saw the caller ID. It was good to feel wanted.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I got a 10% pay raise. Supposedly it was for a peformance review that's 3 mos over due, but who knows. I'll take it. I got more from my boss than I did from my company otherwise. I get more from the local catering companies who provide us meals on the holidays than I do from my company.

California requires that we get paid double time after a 12 hour shift. One of our "safety" folks subsequently decided that working more than a 12 hour shift is unsafe :)

Every pilot (and office worker) got a crisp $100 dollar bill in the mail. Not much, but isn't it the thought that counts? According to most people on here, the majority of pilots don't get squat, so I'm grateful for the $100.

Wrong, ASA. Most pay for themselves in fuel savings alone. Not that a Christmas bonus is that important, but a little give and take is.
