Then to answer your qurstion, Pilots are a dumb bunch. (See Bus driver, Boat Captain) How would you explain a group that pays top dollar for a $20K a year job that keep them away from thier family and be strip searched every day?

They dumbed down the SAT scores a few years back. When I was in high school in the late 70s, anything of 1200 was consider exceptional. Now the average incoming score at the University of Florida is about 1150. Somethings not right.

Man I must be getting old. I have no idea what my scores were. And to tell the truth, once I was accepted into a university, I really could care less!

The one thing I do remember is that nobody else cared one bit either with the exception of the college application crowd.

Not even sure what year I took them.......late 86, early 87?

All I know is four years later I had a piece of paper that said I had a B.A................ I think that means I won the Beer Appreciation award!!!! Or was it a B.S. hmmmmmm...........maybe the Bull Spliff award

That's probably the reason you see more folks out there with "college degrees" that speak in Ebonics or can't conjugate verbs.

1100 in 1990, then I got this thing in the mail a few years later that said I got an extra 100 points for some reason. So now its 1200.

Reference the IQ thread to relate that to IQ If you'd like.

Most folks here will have between 900 and 1100 with the most frequently occurring number at or around 1000; Slightly better than the whole of the Internet message board population. None of them will admit to that score, they are all convinced they are in the 99th percentile of intelligent people.

Thus I use my high IQ to predict you will get no answers because yours is a question that points out something people don’t want to know.

I will now use my high IQ to continue this thread for perhaps four, maybe even five pages by pointing out that

1) Bush lied taking us to Iraq
2) Flying is not that hard, a properly trained howler monkey could be an airline pilot and thus, the pilot supply will continue to grow and wages drop as unions have lost their teeth.
3) As IQ rises religion becomes less important, thus smart people don’t follow the church like sheep and don’t believe everything in the Bible.

That should do it. Watch it grow!

good god, that sounds high. Is that a recent stat? UF certainly wasn't that discriminating in the early 90s. But then, we've slipped from the #1 party school in the nation to a lowly #10, according to the Princeton Review. (and seriously, Princeton is qualified to judge the best party schools?)

anyway, this is a silly thread. I know smart people that have gone nowhere in life, high school grads that are fabulously rich, yadda yadda yadda. SAT scores are hardly indicative of who you are....
