My head is hanging.:(

They ordered 6 736's to be delivered in 2005 & 2006. They did leave a caveat on the table and said they would take look at the 190 again in 2006, as they still need a pure 100 seater. The 736 will be used to replace the 732's in their fleet, and will seat 118 pax.

I still find it inconceivable that the 736 could ever become a major competitor to the 190. The trip costs are double, and the crew costs would be too high. How do you ask a CA to take $72. per hour in lieu of a 737NG CA at double that rate? It could be done, but exclusive flying within the pilot group would not be as economical.

I see DL ordering the 736 before the 717 due it's ability to make the turn to the west coast. We'll just have to see what happens.

Dude put down the Crack Pipe, they will not order the E-Series.

Oh my! Someone ordered a Boeing product over the EMB-190? My gosh, Embraer is known for their high quality jets (NOT!) vs. the terrible, unproven design of the 737? The two are not compariable... If you have the money (or credit) buy the aircraft that is durable....

Lowecur,

Thank you so much for posting another collection of bu!!**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**. You are a true clown. Keep buying shares of that RJ brother, and you will be just fine.

WTF?? Just because one is an Embraer and one is a Boeing, and you argue they are in the same category...direct competitors... They sould have different pay rates?? Whats the difference? So the 737 has 16 more seats...why should the Embraer be flown so cheaply? Just because it comes from a family of RJ's? They are both BIG airplanes, we're not talking puddle jumpers. If they fall into the same category, they should get the same pay... There should be no 72/hr figure even considered! THE 190 IS NO FRIGGIN RJ!!! I don't even think there IS a bar anymore, I swear!

Sorry...Had to vent....

I guess the heat from Indy was too much to handle anything but seasonal flying. I have my doubts you will be back in the Spring, as DFW will become your next mountain to climb with DL pulling the hub plug.
