American tried to call in more staff with little success due to the holiday weekend. "We got caught short-handed," says American spokesman John Hotard.


Someone at AA management just HAD to have made up that guys name.
 
So will anything positive happen because of this. Will the people in charge be held accountable?

If by 'held accountable' you mean the top 1000 managers sharing in nearly $200,000,000 in bonuses, then yes they will be held accountable...

This is AMR. No one is held accountable unless they've been accused of a rule 32 violation...
