If you compare apples to Buicks, I'll do the same.

You sub-educated retards still haven't figured it out yet. Secondary education is truly a disaster in this country. Guess why the USA is full of Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Iranians, Vietnamese, Koreans, Filipinos and pretty soon many more Iraqis (thousands arriving every year)?

Everytime we stick our noses somewhere overseas by using our sh!tty invasion or economic domination foreign policy tactics we tend to atract those native peoples to immigrate to the United States. We also tend to publicize the USA overseas as the "beacon of opportunity and freedom". Well, smart thing to do but at least SECURE the borders!! Don't you think people from poor countries want to come here when they see Hollywood movies picturing the America as paradise? Why don't people want to immigrate so desperately to say Canada or Belgium, countries with better standards of living than ours?
The government and society of this country created their own problems, like France (hence the Algerian-North African unrest in Paris). Sh!t has hit the fan, and now the "Big Stick" Uncle Sam has to find a solution. Illegals (until legalized) are here to stay, like it or not. Keep on whining and complaining, cause it won't change a thing. Start by having English established as our OFFICIAL language (we ISN'T, in case you didn't know).
"Big Stick" by the way... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_stick_diplomacy

Hey Brazjacka**, believe it or not, I agree with alot you say. However, you pedantic fu**face, you didn't say any of that in your previous post. You linked illegal immigrants from Mexico to the US Army. Further, you made a vain and morally repugnant attempt to paint terrorists and thugs in Iraq as noble resistance fighters. I'm sure you wear Che T-shirts, too. Celebrate Marshall Tito's birthday? Mao hold a special place in your heart, too?

Two separate issues, retard. Further, ERJ boy, if the standard of living is better in Canada or elsewhere, feel free to emigrate. As we all know, people are lined up to take your place.

These people have the best work ethic I've ever seen. Seriously, anyone who has ever hired someone from one of our neighboring countries to the South can attest to their work ethic. by IAHERJ
Listen, no one here is bashing the Mexican people or their country, I have traveled all over the world and Mexico is still one of my favorite countries to visit, I love the people, the problem is there are MANY other people facing ridiculous processes to obtain legal citizenship, people jumping the fence in Mexico screw it up for everyone else. I'm sure we all know someone that might have a wife or husband from another country, just ask them what they had to go through to obtain citizenship. Rant over.

Dammit MAGNUM!! - Quit beating around the bush, speak your mind, and let your feelings on the subject be known !!!

I have a suggestion for all of you immigrant bashers.

Go to Home Depot, buy a hammer and a chisel. Fly or drive to NYC, take the ferry to Liberty Island and the French statue in the harbor. Then with your hammer and chisel hack these words off of its base.

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

When your done, have a beer, wave a flag and fly down to IAH and go picket the DA's office in protest of the arrest of those two of your fellow patriots who sodomized a 16 year-old Mexican kid with a two-inch pvc pipe because he kissed one of your ladies. Have your self another beer and call yourselves proud Americans.

If they go through Ellis Island, where you no doubt know you'll find your quote, they'd be LEGAL. Big difference.

Not two patriots...two piece o' s*** criminals that you KNOW many of the conservatives you argue with on this board would pump slugs into from a .45 and not think twice. You know this, Surplus. They're punks, and should be prosecuted...we all agree on this. To use them to attack our positions is just more fire-breathing rhetoric that really means nothing at all....and you know it. It's just a way for you to be "outraged," thereby ignoring the real issue at hand...which is ILLEGAL immigration.

Further, if you want to use violent crime to talk about illegal immigration, I'd be more than happy to open that one up. MS-13 ring a bell?

Didn't say anything about the Army my friend. They're just doing the unfortunate job they were ordered to do. Anyway, guess what the Germans called the French Resistance known as "Les Maquis" ? Oh, yeah, Insurgents, thugs, bla bla bla.
Why should I emigrate? I'm an American, but, if you hate the idea that there are better countries out there (I can feel your rage, your internal conflict, your disbelief), maybe you should use your travel benifits a little more. Might give you an open mind.

And no, I don't like Tito, Mao or Che but it certainly would be a better waisting of my time reading about them than writing to a narrowsighted trash like you.

You call me a retard and trash, yet I'M the one that's full of "rage?" Nice try. Did you or did you not equate illegal immigrants to Americans in Iraq? Sure seems to me like you did...and, no, you don't need to use the word "Army" to do so.

Better countries? For what? Beer? Sure. Beaches? Probably. Women? Definitely. To live in? Name 'em. I have no internal conflict, or rage, or disbelief, master yoda. Seems to me that you're the one conflicted about living in America. And the great thing is that you have options. Just exercise 'em.

I'll put my list o' countries traveled up against yours anytime. Loved most of 'em, but always wanted to come back home. Sorry you can't say the same. Trash.

Are you seriously comparing the French resistance(such as it was) to those cowards in Iraq?

I hope the National Guard is ready

as this may very well turn into a big violent embarassment for the Hispanics

(best Avatar EVER AdamKooper I can't stop looking at it, can you PM me the rest of the series? (*please* tell me there is a series))

Why can't we just round them up and have target practice or fence them in and move the group to the border. It's easy. Start blowing them away, and maybe then they'll think twice about coming here illegally and leaching on MY taxes, welfare, hospitals, and most importantly SCHOOLS.
If INS had any balls, they'd round up the little whiners, check credentials, and load the busses on the spot!

I worked in a grove during my summer times out of college.

Guess what. All the guys i worked with had 3 or 4 SSN#'s. They knew how to work the system so that they had 4 paychecks coming from the government after fruit season ended. All the checks went to a border town and they sent them down to their families in mexico. Where they had their own maids and stuff on the american taxpayer.

A good deal of the services you majors rely on probably won't be in "service."

Might as well make your point now.

Well if they are going to walk out fine, but with them, why don't we kick them out of our hospitals and schools, and maybe we will not have to pay as much for health care and maybe our childrens teachers will have less kids to teach per classroom.

They don't see that side of it.

How about the Star Spangled Banner in Spanish?

Spanish-Language Version of 'Star-Spangled Banner' Draws Cries of Protest
http://javascript:photoPopup('D8H90A2GQ')
MIAMI -- British music producer Adam Kidron says that when he came up with the idea of a Spanish-language version of the U.S. national anthem, he saw it as an ode to the millions of immigrants seeking a better life.
But in the week since Kidron announced the song _ which features artists such as Wyclef Jean, hip-hop star Pitbull and Puerto Rican singers Carlos Ponce and Olga Tanon _ it has been the target of a fierce backlash.
Some Internet bloggers and others are infuriated by the thought of "The Star-Spangled Banner" sung in a language other than English.
"Would the French accept people singing the La Marseillaise in English as a sign of French patriotism? Of course not," said Mark Krikorian, head of the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies, a think tank that supports tighter immigration controls.
The initial version of "Nuestro Himno," or "Our Anthem," comes out Friday and uses lyrics based closely on the English-language original, said Kidron, who heads the record label Urban Box Office.
Pro-immigration protests are planned around the country for Monday, and the record label is urging Hispanic radio stations nationwide to play the cut at 7 p.m. EDT Friday in a sign of solidarity.
A remix to be released in June will contain several lines in English that condemn U.S. immigration laws. Among them: "These kids have no parents, cause all of these mean laws ... let's not start a war with all these hard workers, they can't help where they were born."
Bryanna Bevens of Hanford, Calif., who writes for the immigration-focused Web magazine Vdare.com, said the remix particularly upset her.
"It's very whiny. If you want to say all those things, by all means, put them on your poster board, but don't put them on the national anthem," she said.
Kidron, a U.S. resident for 16 years, maintains the changes are fitting. After all, he notes, American immigrants borrowed the melody of the "Star Spangled Banner" from an English drinking song.
"There's no attempt to usurp anything. The intent is to communicate," Kidron said. "I wanted to show my thanks to these people who buy my records and listen to the music we release and do the jobs I don't want to do."
Kidron said the song also will be featured on the album "Somos Americanos," which will sell for $10, with $1 going to the National Capital Immigration Coalition, a Washington group.
James Gardner, an associate director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, said Americans have long enjoyed different interpretations of the Star Spangled Banner, including country or gospel arrangements.
"There are a number of renditions that people aren't happy with, but that's part of it _ that it means enough for people to try to sing," he said.
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Perez, said this country was built by immigrants, and "the meaning of the American dream is in that record: struggle, freedom, opportunity, everything they are trying to shut down on us."

Bleeding Heart Conservatives

Who would have thought in a Republican controlled congress with a Republican president, we'd still have record illegal immigration. Too many politicians are in bed with the big businesses that use the cheap labor. Don't blame the Mexicans for wanting a better life, blame your elected officials for being ineffective.

Borders; language; culture. If you don't value these then you lay the foundation of your own demise. History proves that over and over and over again.

Not condoning illegal immigration, but I'd like to see what you guys would do if you were in their position. It's easy to say you would stay in your original country, but it's another thing to actually be in such a situation where your kids have no future.

Here's a brainstorm for you, negativeg-----I'd come here LEGALLY!!!

BTW, I have read many of your posts on this subject on the other boards and you have a definate apologist tone in all of them toward these people who are BREAKING THE LAW. What, exactly, is your problem with following rules?

Oh, and yes, you are and have been condoning illegal immigration with your many implications in your posts. You just don't have the stones to come right out and say it. Much like most liberals won't admit to being LIBERAL.

I don't favor illegal anything. But. I wonder -- do any of you demanding that these folks stop coming here "legally" actually have any idea of what it takes to come to the US "legally"?

There's not ONE of these "workers" (or whatever you want to call them) that would even be able to get a visa to vist the US for a week, let alone to come here and work.

There simply is NO WAY for a poor person to come to the US "legally", even if he/she just wants to visit and then go home, let alone to work.

So, when you tell them they have to come "legally" you are really telling them that they can't come at all. That is why they come "illegally".

The overwhelming majority are coming to find work and make a few bucks. If you really don't want that to happen, then you solve the problem by attacking Americans that hire them "illegally", not by attacking the immigrants.

Yes, it's a problem that needs to be solved. But, the cause of illegal immigration is Americans that hire illegals because they can be exploited; not the immigrants themselves. Stop hiring them and they will stop coming, it's that simple.

Do not blame them for our own greed!

Yes....I do...but remember, its Primer Impacto.....not Primero Impacto.

Also, the extremely popular telenovela, "Maria la del Barrio" is playing again on daytime TV. That Thalia is one hottie. 2PM CDT I think.

The Mexican gals that work at the dry cleaners I go to talk about this show all the time. I think they like one of the actors in the show.

Ahh yes.....somebody always seems to bring up the battle cry of "visit Ellis island" (surplus1) when the issue of illegal immigration comes up.

We are talking about illegal immigration, not the legal immigrants.

Why should the taxpayers of this country provide them (illegals) with free health care, education for their children, and a host of other welfare programs? We have enough citizens of our own on those programs.

Economically, it makes no sense to help them out. We will bankrupt ourselves if we keep trying to make the United States some sort of utopia for everyone. If they want to come here, then fine. We need to cut many of our social programs if this is the case.

One thing I have a problem with is that every immigrant brings something from their native countries with them to the US. While I could care less about Spanish and salsa dancing and Cinco de Mayo, what worries me is the corruption. These people come here to find better lives for themselves because their home countires are so corrupt, however, when they come here, they often bring this part of the culture with them because it's what they know and they think it's okay.

If you want to argue with me, then go live in Miami or Deep South Texas (Rio Grande Valley) I have. In Brownsville you can buy off the cops just as easily as you can on the other side of the border. And they look for the bribes too.

Uh, folks I think the original was a serious post. No cleaners, caterers, janitors, etc on May 1. Potential pita at the airports......

Enter Mexico illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas,
International law, or any of that nonsense.

Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care
For you and your entire family.

Demand bilingual nurses and doctors.

Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc. Procreate
abundantly.

Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive
Behavior with, "It is a cultural U.S.A.thing. You would not understand,
pal."

Keep your American identity strong. Fly Old Glory from your rooftop, or
proudly display it in your front window or on your car bumper.

Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your children
Do likewise.

Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system.

Demand a local Mexican driver license. This will afford other legal
Rights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorized, illegal, presence
in
Mexico

Drive around with no liability insurance and ignore local traffic laws.

Insist that local Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its
officers.

Good luck! You'll be demanding for the rest of time or soon be dead.
Because it will never happen. It will not happen in Mexico or any other
country
In the world except right here in the United States, Land! of the naive and
stupid, idiotic politically correct politicians.
