Hey guys get this. Im ferrying a plane to Portland on Thursday. Im meeting the buyer there and then on Friday we'll head to Vegas cause he needs dual for insurance. He knows a gal who owns a casino that he'll put me up in so it should be fun. Its my first time in Vegas (except for the airport) so any suggestions on what to do? Of course Ill be getting hammered but what should I do while wasted??

P.S. No hookers or blow

Hookers or blow? How enlightened.

Having lived in las vegas four times now, my opinion remains unchanged; it is indeed the armpit of the country. I cannot begin to describe how much I loathe that place. It makes my physically sick. Having said that whatever you want vegas to be, it will be, so long as this time of year what you want it to be is extremely hot.

After flying charter out of SoCal and spending countless overnights there so a planeload of drunken gamblers could lose all of their money, I came to this conclusion: Vegas sucks.

I've stayed at the Four Seasons and I've stayed at a place with rubber sheets and everywhere inbetween. I've even hung out with Siegfried and Roy  (long story, no comments please).

The only redeeming thing about LAS is that tastey egg and cheese sandwich they cook up in the deli at executive.

Have fun! Be sure to get de-loused before you get back in the plane.

Rum Jungle @ Mandalay Bay, Studio 54 @ MGM Grand, Rain & Ghost Bar at the Palms. Just spent 9 days out there and looking forward to going back in a few weeks, only negative is that 120 on the golf course is no joy but some great courses out there if you are into golfing.

If you are into golfing> Badlands Golf course is probably one of my favorites and I have golfed at most of them out there. It is a great design by JM and Chi Chi and offers a variety of challenges. It is on Alta Drive.

TPC at the Canyon is also a must, a great course. A tad more expensive but well worth it in my opinion.

Las Vegas National off of Desert Inn is also a good course and more reasonable in terms of greens fees. If you have seen the movie "Casino" then one of the home's on the back side should ring a bell. Very well maintained and offers a great variety.

Laughlin is a short drive Vegas and offers a lot to do. A pretty good escape from the tourists and the strip. You can rent wave runners and have some fun on the Colorado.

The night life is superb and fantastic not to mention the great food that can be had on any day of the week.

enjoy

Take away all the good things 350 said about Vegas and you have Pheonix, that is truely the armpit of the world. If there is a hell on earth, it would be Pheonix, what a sh!t hole!

I must add that when I flew out there in May, the news anchor said, "don't forget your oven gloves", this so your hands wouldn't incinerate due to the ungodly heat when grabbing your car handle and steering wheel.
