I would think that you should have no problem getting free internet at the hotels. At NetJets, 98% of the hotels have a free internet, and 95% have a free breakfast (at least in the US), so it should be very easy for your company and hotel committee to negotiate these perks also.
We don't make standing reservations due to the nature of our business. Your airline should be able to get an even better deal than us based on your airline having a known occupancy of pilots each night, vs our unknown number of reservations.
In fact I don't remember the last time I went to a hotel without free internet that wasn't in Mexico or a Southern Hemisphere country.
Besides, the hotel industry is hurting along with the rest of the travel industry (and indeed the rest of the economy in whole) so now is a good time to turn the screws a bit if needed to improve the quality of life of your crew members on the road.
