CRJ radar has a 2 foot "danger zone" (see manual), required by FAA ("you have to have something"). Puts out 40 watts of energy. So does the light bulb in your refrigerator.

The effect on birds? They would laugh at you if they could, but they can't even smile at you due to their beaks.

It won't even melt the hair gel off your F/O.
