In some cases this is certainly true but you will never get anyone but yourselves to believe a two month guy going senior to a 16 plus year guy is not a windfall.

The fact that both sides have spent years trying to persuade the other is in itself proof positive that nothing must change except by pilot agreement, ie. it is an internal union dispute, as the 9th so plainly found. The only way out is exactly what the 9th said, negotiate with the company, ratify, sue.

That might be true if the 16 year guy was anywhere other than the ass end of the list. However, in this case, that 16 year guy was very much on the ass end of the list. Alot of people other than us get it just fine.

Well said !!!

Soo if the American deal does not happen... Any ideas on pilot list .. As is will Parker keep dragging it out or will the nic finally happen or drag it on in the court forever ??

New hires don't need to concern themselves with this crap as they will be captains in 7 years. The nic is the list when a contract is ratified by the pilots. We actually...yes believe or not...get to vote...I know I know it's not the ALPA way but we as pilots get to vote on a contract meaning if it is not good a pilot can vote no. In about 5 years the old geezers like me will be gone and the new hires will out vote us and you will get your nic!!! congrats!

Some of the smoke on this issue should clear when Judge Silver makes a decision on the Declaratory Judgement, which is supposedly is in front of her now. What's taking so long? Who knows.

Do you trust Garry Hummel? Every pilot I hear that supports him is of the old ALPA weak sisters, get a deal, give, give, give, until we get a deal.

I am afraid Garry will give the pilots the opportunity to give up scope and the Nic in exchange for a pay raise (that will never be for us).

John Prater and Jerry Sandusky will welcome Garry to the club once he is done "leading" us.

GH is going to lead us right off the cliff! He is a west sympathizer and FPL ki g. Gary has to go

Ah, it's good to see the FOC'rs (friends of Cleary) out in force. As usual, "The Sky is Falling!".

FYI, Scope is a concern and not to be "given away". Further, President Hummel does NOT have the authority to "give up" the Nic in exchange for anything. That will be taken care of by the courts or some other process.

Instead of manufacturing all of this dismal news, why don't you actually read the updates and listen to what the NAC has to say (after all the Nic still has Colello at the helm & Wilder as the Professional Negotiator). You do realize that Wilder was CLT's big push for that position, don't you? Are you so unsure / afraid that he & Colello will some how give everything away?

Really. Isn't 4+ years of failure & delay enough?

charlie2, take a deep breath and calm down. Stolen Valor Act? You got something to hide you want to get off your chest? USAPA is driving your career right off the cliff, remain calm...all is well with Hummel in charge. Delay working as planned? 1988 bought you no job in 2005, sad but true, there are no second bites of the legal apple...spin away.
