It was WAYYY sexier with an APU. CHEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPAZZZZZZZZZMESA!!

It olny burns abour 80 PPH, and they rip 'em out while flying in the desert? Stupid..
 
Sadly, Mesa's not the only ones to pull APUs out of DHC-8s in tropical locales.

They're just so darned heavy.....

In the 200's it shouldn't matter how heavy the APU is....it is still gonna carry 37 peeps and a good amount of bags!

Atleast they do have it hooked up to a air cart!!!
 
Sorry, I should've been more specific. POS -100s, no APU, no air cart. Tropical locale.

They're hiring though.

ps. whoever decided the DHC shouldn't have a window to open in the cockpit should be shot.
 
Either you're joking, or your 200s have a different ZFW than QX's.

not that we have them anymore, but PDT zfw was 32,400 (hope that sounds right), now our ancient 100's have a 31,400zfw!!! Lucky if we can carry 34 peeps and 35 bags!!

That's how the 200 is now with the new and improved pax weights. :(
 
"New" -100s are up to a whopping 32,000. Think they would install an APU now? Nope.
