No kidding... I'm a 3rd generation pilot and have been watching things deteriorate for the last two decades and am beginning to hope that the government re-regulates this industry, and screw the customers; if they want low prices they can take a fu*king bus. :D

Now to everyone who wants to debate that statement, don't hijack this thread, start another one and I'll happily debate it with you.

Thanks XTW... although I'm curious why you deleted your post. Thankfully Flightinfo emails me what you wrote so I followed the link and found the pay on www.airlinepilotpay.com.
!

Lear70,

I tried to delete because when I tried to to "cut and paste" the original website, there were serious formatting issues. It was easier to post a link to the original website than try to copy it here. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

This isn't your father's airline career!.....

100K per year

Reference mr lear and the USA 3000 reference, what is wrong with making a $100K per year flying an airplane? I have never seen it. I can live very well on less than that. Guys are posting of their intent to stay in the Regional airlines as careers now, and is not $100K about the top of the scale.

I know that's not a good attitude but I agree. People want top notch professionalism and skill, but they only want to pay $30 one way. It is ridiculous.

I do think the capt. pay here is slightly pathetic. Hopefully it will change when we get a contract.

Pilotyip,
Don't tell anyone in management that $100k is ok...next thing you know we will be taking concessions with that type of pay. Maybe one day being an airline pilot will be a hobby.
