I know that they are not a major but i did not know where else to post. Does anybody know when they are having classes and how many in each.

I am aware of how many hours I have but it is not for me it is for somebody else who was hired and waiting for a class date

Just interviewed and was offered a position....swimming in the pool. I'm told next class will be in a couple of months, with 5 aircraft coming on line this year. Hiring 50 plus , but could be more with guys leaving to go over to Jet Blue.

Airbus time?

Your post says hired but no Airbus on your profile. Have they deleted that requirement? I've talked with them at several job fairs, but that was always a show stopper.

Thanks,
Catfish

No airbus time for me. Apparently they have dropped that requirement. All furloughed united, usair, twa guys in my interview group. They are big on international,FMS,PIC time and heavy jet type ratings...of course the majority of us furloughed have all that bu$#*& it anyways.

Supposedly there is a class of 6 furloughed Ryan pilots going on right now. From what I heard there is a class starting at the beginning of October and November. From what the CPs memo said, there should be 50 new pilots on line by December. How is it over there? It's been great for me. I came from Chicago Express....same kind of thing but instead of flying a Saab, I fly an A320. If you don't expect the world and just a plain flying job without extra perks (like the majors probably have or had), it is fine. If you expect a perfect schedule, flying 30 hours a month, royalty treatment, you probably wouldn't like it. I like it, but I don't know any different (which I think is a blessing in disguise).

capt. megadeth, how did you get an interview with them , having only saab and J-31 time? did you know someone?

I have a buddy who just started there on Sept 9. He was a furloughed American guy, but before that he was a Ryan guy with PIC in the Airbus. He gets to go thru a quick course, because he is already typed. His training is in MSP at NWA's facility. Don't know much more, but it does look like they are hiring for the near future. Good luck guys.

schafjet,
love your avatar.

metro,
I did know some people. I also bugged the heck out of the CP with resumes. I had been applying there for a long time. I went to a job fair and talked to HR. I was very lucky. :)

Thanks, I spent a short time flying guys in and out of Kuwait City. This trip was taking guys home and they were more than happy to let us play around with their toys.

See hiring is picking up

Airlines are redefining there hiring criteria, USA 3000 drops the Bus thing, because they can not get enough Bus guys they like, so they expand their hiring base by getting rid of things.

Just out of curiosity and because I have the 5000+...

What's first year pay through 5th year pay and how long until you'd see the left seat, taking current and projected growth and attrition into account?

I know, a bit of a "crystal ball" question, but my career path never intended to have a regional in it and now I know why, but unless I find something substantively better, I'm staying put.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks XTW... although I'm curious why you deleted your post. Thankfully Flightinfo emails me what you wrote so I followed the link and found the pay on www.airlinepilotpay.com.

I will say that I'm shocked that Airbus pay is so LOW! If you work a 16 day month as an F/O you'd make about $40k first year, $60k 3rd year, then about $84k a year as a 3rd year CA and top out around $95k. That's absolutely pathetic, although I wouldn't blame someone who was laid off...

Basically I'm already making more than year 3 Captain there working 16 days a month so I'll probably just stay put. Thanks for the link, and good luck to everyone over there!
