USA Jet is going to start interviewing again next month for DA-20 F/O's. Pool ½ life has gone from 6 months to about 4 months and we need to rebuild the pool. The 2007 hiring boom is starting to shape and pilots are finding jobs a lot faster than they did one year ago. Last bid DC-9 F/O went to pilots with 6 months seniority and DA-20 Captain to pilots with 18 months seniority. DA-20 F/O starting pay $34K per year. Hiring minimums are 1200TT and 750 MEL. We count all rotor wing time toward TT, and 50% of ME Rotor time up to 650 hours for the MEL requirement. To post resumes at no charge go to js.firm. or fax a resume to 734-547-7388.

Is a 4yr Degree a pre-req??

(c'mon YIP I HAD to ask!!)

:)

nope!

Just like SWA and JB, we do let a piece of paper stand in the way of hiring the right person. The degree has become such a common thing that in our next class everyone has a degree, but then again most of the class is ex-military and they make get the degree.

Hey now! I was in the last DA-20 upgrade class and I had 24 months senority not 18.... also my sim partner was hired before me I think he was at 26 months, of course that was due to not having the needed total time ....

I will agree with you though upgrade/movement is getting very very fast. Im guessing the next class of DA-20 upgrades will be about 13-14 months with the company. We are seriously running out of FO's and after this bid If 6 or so more move seats/equiptment I'll be back in the right seat again flying double captain.... HIRE MORE TODAY!

Oh, are we still doing the pay for application screening? 35 bucks or whatever it was?

DA-20 Upgrade Bid

Junior guy on the bid was a March 03 DOH. DC-9 F/O is going to December 03 DOH. We are not charging the $38 application fee anymore, if they go through js.firm. Qualified candidates will be sent a web sight location and info how to apply on-line. If they go through the active.aero sight they will charged $38

What are the schedules like for the Falcon and the DC9 in terms of days on vs. days off? How does the flying vary between the Falcon and DC9 - do they fly to the same destinations or does the DC9 tend to fly farther afield?

I have heard good things about USA Jet. What about pilot bases - only YIP?

Yes YIP is the only base. Commuting would be hard with the way things are today... Falcon people get 10 days off in a 28 day bid period. (so roughly 11 days off per month) The DC-9 folks get 12. there are many different types of lines... from a 10 day block to two 5 day blocks to two three day weekends plus one four day weekend. The crew scheduler is willing to work with you though. You can request certain blocks or days and if she has the crews available can often get you what you need.

As far as destinations go, the DC-9s seem to get to the west coast more often however I'm currently sitting in San Jose CA. so... Typical flights go down the "Auto Corridor" as I call it. Ontario to Mexico... We often lay over in Texas, Brownsville, Del Rio, El Paso and Laredo. Other common places to get stuck include Louisville, Kansas City, Shreveport, Jackson, Little Rock... basically anywhere in the eastern half of the US. Its all on demand in the Falcon and completely random and unpredictable. It's fun!

You will start as a DA-20 FO but this bid for the DC-9 Fo spots could easily go to guys with only 6 months at the company. I highly recommned this place. The company does whatever it can to treat the pilots right. Apply today and good luck!

I've just applied through JS Firm. How long can I expect for a reply of some kind?

Thanks,

Are your aircraft equipped with any glass or GPS gizmos (to use a technical term) or are you pulling out your maps and charts all of the time? I have never flown glass so I am a map expert...
