I hadn't heard about the 5 new jets but makes sense to me. I thought they'd wait until merger was yay or nay before making changes, but with the delay till the end of the year the managers hafta come up with some other busy work, and the training dept needs something to do also now that the 737's are on their way out. Only so many "safety audits" one can do and still look relevant.

Thanks, didn't know if there was a contractual requirement or not. Anybody have any idea if the 7/16 class is still split Group2/E190?

No October system bid so at least part of that rumor is false.

the october part was indeed wrong but if you look at past bids they usually are posted 4 months prior to the effective date. ie the SEP2012 bid was posted May 18.

so any bid posted in mid July would have an effective date of NOV 1

in the past 5 years I don't remember any system bid in back to back months, at the least they will have 2 months between, usually 3.

I would plan on there being a bid for either Nov or Dec

Don t know about the extra 190 was told by the chief pilot 4 weeks ago that they looked into it and decided not to buy them.

Rumors are flying around right now. I have heard that some of the senior guys have got fed up and have just walked away but also hear of senior guys fighting to stay every day they can. Last thing I heard was in the fall the doors open to interview again primarily for the 190 in PHL

Nope. PHX is dead there are a bunch of westies furloughed. They will be out for a long time! The east is were the growth is.
