Welcome back to all and good luck. This article is pretty good and read Pat Mallon's response below it...sums it up pretty well I think.

Ummm, okay. What did this article have to do with recalls again? And what is McBride's connection to USAirways? And his praise of Seeham????? Haaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaa............ Sorry, he's killing me (but at least he confesses to a "personal connection" and some bias....). Why did he write this blog? To discuss legal strategy? I can name a half a dozen cases that demonstrate a long-term legal strategy that are far more relevant to the average person than this fight... It looks to me like he wants to get on the USAPA legal gravy train, so he wrote a nice blog to try and win some friends.

Anyways, can't we have just one USAirways thread that keeps the East-West B.S., Nic-DOH, poop flinging out???? Let those that came back enjoy our honeymoon period.....

Your in a honeymoon period? What's your secret? I think the furlough was my honeymoon.

Agreed, no Nic discussion or E v W lets keep this thread about recalls.

Sorry! I was welcoming back the RECALLED pilots and thought that the article provided a concise explanation of what's been going on here for those pilots that stayed away from airline stuff while on furlough. I won't post any non-recall stuff on this thread again.

Talked with checkairman today on flight I was on. Said to expect more hiring numbers through the year, or so they were briefed. Mgmt stated, yes, the 190 is a choke hold on getting guys back, expect to be hiring off the street, and those guys on the 190 for a year then bail to group II. Has a feeling bid will be out with grp II to finish off the furlough list and the voluntaries....... Just my .02 of what I heard.

which goes inline with the bid closing comm, I ran into leaving PIT after the last bid closed, which he mentioned there were Grp II vacancies, but company just eliminated them for time being....I.E. all recalls to the 190.

Sorry, Charlie. I wasn't aiming that at you only. I was just refering to how every thread devolves into an East vs West mudslinging contest, regardless of how it starts. And, for most of us, we're just happy to be back to work. (I know, so far, everyone I talk to is amazed at that....... But it beats unemployment or some of the crappy overseas jobs some of us did...). Thanks for welcoming us back...

Seriously, though, what is that guy's angle? Did he just spontaneously write a blog about the Addington case? What is his connection to it all? Looking at his website, he seems to be a dispute resolution guy, not really a labor relations/union guy.

Does anybody know of a way to see base and equipment seniority breakdown without CatCrew? I've seen the seniority list on Wings but it says nothing about peoples bases and equipment. I'd like some info so I can make a better decision about my recall. Thanks.

Look at the last bid. Its on wings.

All have been offered recall to at least the 190. Not many west will go East to be junior to new hires and fly with Captains who should be, and will be, Junior to them.

Pilots coming off of furlough don't want to fly with Captains (not on furlough) that should be and will be junior (to the one now returning from furlough)?

Welcome back. Please accept our apology that we forgot to reserve the A330 captain slots for you. Maybe we could work out pay protection for you.

Meanwhile, gear up, bro.
