And what regional did you work for back in the day?

Doesn't matter. Bottom line is that the term "qualified" is and always has been a relative thing. There's no reason everyone who got hired on at a super-regional couldn't have been hired on at a major instead w/ the same flight time. Or flew turboprops for a few years and then got on w/ a major and flew the "RJ" for them. The way it is now- pilots spend 7-12 years(!) at a super-regional and then it becomes a crazy dillemma when it comes time to move on to the majors. It's not the same easy decision that it used to be.

I'm sorry- i don't have loyalty to any company past the next 2 weeks- i have loyalty to my profession and my ability to make a living and career out of it for life though. Got to think and see past your own situation.
