There is very little chance that anyone on the east can make up what they have lost. DOH cannot get them what they have given up had the nic been implemented with a contract 3 years ago.

Hmmm..can't make up what we have lost??!?!?! Had this discussion with a west guy on the j/s. He actually got it and understood it........Funny thing by DOH the east guy was 6 months senior....by NIC....over a thousand numbers seperate them.

Now with pay parity or whatever raise that great Kirby proposal set forth. For a mid level f/o, it was like a $7-9/hr pay raise.....a bit more vacation etc...but net net...9k more a year....give it 10k.

Now by accepting the NIC, upgrade times get changed substantially, but for ********************s and grins lets say a 5 yr difference in upgrade time between DOH and NIC.

Difference between Capt and F/O pay??? 30/hr so call it 35-40k/yr difference.

times that by 5 yr delay, your looking at 200k difference in career earnings I guess? subtract from that those HUGE UNWORLDLY gains that said Kirby proposal would give us if we laid down and accepted the NIC.....and your looking at, at least 150k or so less in earnings.

Not mentioning of course the access to any wide body positions flying, which would be completely overtaken by west pilots.

In a nutshell, many of us can afford to wait this thing out, and as it has shown, are more than willing to.

Give me five names that were on the property the day of the merger who's upgrade would be delayed by more than 2 years under Nic.
