I was riding on US Airways to go to work(corporate) in uniform and the FA comes by with her cart and asked if I wanted something to drink. I told her I wanted some water and she put her two fingers in air and said ,"two bucks." So I put one middle finger in the air and said "no thank you" She must have read the digust on face because two minutes later she came back and handed me some water. Whats next they are going to charge you for the air that comes off the bleed system.

I call bs on that one, and even if you did have the balls to disrespect someone like that, why are you targeting your disgust at her?
Whether or not it's true that her airline is now charging for water does not warrant you taking your frustrations out on her for just doing her job.

I think a simple "no thanks" would have been all you needed to do. At least that would have shown that maybe you had an ounce of 'class'.

Oh my mr. corporate man of genious........so sorry you are feeling the pain of not getting a free bottle of water.

Get used to it.........The airline model has changed. You were either jumpseating (free of charge to your corporation), or it was paid for by your company to get you from point A to point B. Either way, it didn't cost you a dime. You didn't even have to supersize your order.

Go to Wendy's, McD's or BK and ask them to throw in a free drink.......What do you think they'll tell you to do?........I think you know the answer.

Ditto. Flipping off Flight Attendants while wearing your uniform, sure thing.
I do believe you work corporate, though. If you worked with flight attendants, you'd probably realize just how believable your claim that she hooked you up with freebies after you flipped her off is.

If you do not like the way the Airline treated you, be sure and show your displeasure by not riding for free on them again. If you or your company paid for the ticket, then change airlines, do not take it out on the F/A that is doing her job. If you did that to me, I think I might accidentally spill something on your spiffy uniform.

I hope your boss flips you off because you accepted a ATV Vector off course. In fact I hope he takes the extra fuel out of your paycheck.

I bet you yell at line guys and girls behind the counter as well. What a STUD!

Come fly on SWA and you can have all the free drinks you want along with some free munchies and a pillow to take a nap on.

As for the wendy's/McD's comparision....it is called buying a combo meal...that is what an airline ticket is. It should come with the meal(ticket) and a drink.

Times have changed for most airlines. Did you not notice that almost every airline is losing money with these gas prices. I am sure things will probably change at SouthWest too.
How many times now do you go to a Hotel and see that nice bottle of water sitting on the desk? Only to have it say, "if you drink me we will charge 2 dollars to your room!"

Look, its a drink. Its 2 dollars. If you can afford a 400.00 ticket then I am sure you can grab 2 dollars out of your pocket for a coke or water.

Remember we are in American where we love to screw the hell out of the middle class!!!

Its not like you should be surprised when you get on a flight and they charge you. They make multiple announcements before getting on a flight of the new policy, if you don't like it, buy your bottle of water in the terminal. BTW, my experience is that flight attendants don't give a crap about the policy and still provide beverages to non-revs and jumpseaters.

PS, if you flicked off the flight attendant on my aircraft, expect to be escorted out of the terminal instead of making your connection or getting your free bottle of water.

Well not sure about the hotels your company puts you in but the ones we stay in I would say less than 10% charge or the water if it there. I bet you pay for the coffee at the hotel too right.
