There was the post that as of the 19th they have a vacancy with almost 80 open positions. I should assume that those positions will need to be hired and trained in the coming months. I have heard two classes a month-and they have already made calls for the 1 april class. The calls apparently go out about 5 weeks before class starts. I interviewed almost two weeks ago and have heard nothing. Good luck to us all. As for any SLI issues, I really think the American deal will iron out the legal issues and be a lot better situation than the one I am in now. I lost 1/2 of my seniority in the Mesaba pinnacle colgan cluster ******************** and the contract we have now is ridiculous and quality of life will just get worse. Delta will make huge profits on Pinnacle and will bleed us dry working us hard until something pops. The interview process they have set for Pinnacle pilots is a joke and not worth waiting for. I would rather work at US Airways anyways.

Couldn't agree with you more sbnflyer. I'm keeping a close on this thread for a friend who is somewhere between 5-7 week mark and it's pretty tiring to see these political arguments on a thread where people are genuinely trying to get info and sort out the bs. So please refrain from the interairline politics, the childish/pointless arguments and get back to actually providing useful-ish information for the pilots who are looking for the info.

My friend has had no word and he's a military dude that is pretty nervous after the interview since he hasn't heard anything. So when is the latest people have heard about getting the job? Or not getting the job? Thx for the help and thx for trying to clean up this post!!!

Tell him not to call and inquire about his status. He may consider sending a letter about how much he enjoyed the experience interviewing, but I believe they instruct people in the interview with something along the lines of "Don't call us, we'll call you."

Obviously the stress is getting to me, or I wouldn't have said anything. I'm better now, haha. No news is good news I hope.

At least you guys interviewed. I can't even seem to get that far.

Keep your chin up flyboyike. I heard from either one of these threads or elsewhere that usairways is looking at 280 pilots till the end of the year.... I obviously have no way to confirm however good rumors can keep our heads in the game!

My application still says "under review" but I cannot update/change my resume, as others have said. What are the merits to letting things "be" vs. creating a new application with a current resume? I'm trying to do the right thing here. Anyone had luck with an IT person at the 3rd party to get the resume updated or through US Airways HR?

Any info is much appreciated. Thanks.

238..Came direct from Bob Skinner last week

How many are going to the West division? The West division brings 1/3 of the attrition. So I guess about 90 will get hired for Phoenix based division. If you get hired on the west you can not bid to certain aircraft at US Airways even though they belong to the the same union and same operating certificate. Kind of like the former Midatlantic division. Never forget Midatlantic was never Mainline, Just like the West division.

Good luck

M

Are all West furloughs recalled?

280 is not a whole lot.
