There is no such thing as ex-piedmont. Only Marines are more taken aback by such careless uses of the "ex" prefix. Ex-Marine, perish the thought!
They are former Piedmont birds. About 47 left to be replaced 1for1 with new 321s.
No offense intended. Does that mean you're former Piedmont? Heard it was, no slash that, I mean is a great airline. I've heard it compared to Alaska the same way I hear PSA compared to Southwest. US had lots of injections of good culture, where the h e double hockey sticks did it go? Bad management?
Off the top of my head - the last bid (for March 2012) had open positions after the bid closed for:
PHL,CLT,DCA - Airbus and 737
PHL - E190
Two questions that have probably already been answered many times:
1. What is the seat lock timing? 3 years?
2. Does the E190 FO position pay the same as the A319/737 FO position for newhires?
Wow, I can't believe all of the ex-America West 737s are gone!!!! I remember seeing those airplanes while growing up on the Left Coast. Sad day............ :bawling::crying:![]()

If you're dumb enough to show up for the interview, You're 90% hired!
I bet if the applicants could spend a few hours talking the USAPA fanatics, they would tear up their applications, grateful that they didn't choose to spend a career driven by the stupid emotional decisions of folks who won't be here to live the consequences of their actions.
I haven't met a new hire that has expressed any interest in pilot squabbles. They are enthusiastic and excited to be here.
The bitterness around here is nothing new. Decades ago when I got hire there were some pilots that couldn't understand my enthusiasm about being hired, and they wanted me to agree with them that it sucked.
Glad they kept that tradition going... I'd hate to miss out on the US experience... :roll eyes:

No, this is different. It's natural for pilots to bemoan management, but the deep seated hatred (to the point of spending millions of dollars to sue them)for one group of fellow employees against another is a uniquely toxic USAir thing.

Or is your home life worse than your work life?
