Doing a little research for a friend:

If you were offered both SWA ad UPS , groundschool starting same day, which would you take??

I know, some people have all the luck.

These threads seem to pop-up every so often.

1. Where do you live?
2. Do you want to fly international?
3. How about night flying?
4. Like flying 737s?
5. Like flight attendants?
6. How will you do with UPS first year pay?

These are some of the fist things I thought of. I fly for UPS and like it very much. Both are excellent companies in very different ways. Let us know which way you decide.

Flying at night and getting paid big money does not suck.

Bingo! Whatever suits your lifestyle best. I've done the international heavy cargo thing, and didn't care for the long legs. Granted, doing it for UPS pay rates vs. Gemini pay rates goes a long way, but I just didn't like being in the airplane for 8+ hours at a time. Gimme 5 legs a day in a 737 any day. In fact, I've got a PHX-PHL trip coming up next week and I'm dreading it!

Bottom line is which ever type of flying turns your crank. Both are outstanding companies and will offer pilots great careers.

Has your friend ever flown night operations? If not spend a week jumpseating on some dudes line and see how he/she likes it. i would think that would cover alot of bases.
