UPS to cancel Airbus 380 also?

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- UPS may cancel an order for 10 freighter versions of the Airbus A380, the Les Echos newspaper reported Friday, without naming sources. UPS rival FedEx has already cancelled its A380 freighter order. Airbus is owned by EADS .

Yeah I know it's not for the regional board but just thought you guys would like to know...Boy sounds like this "plane" sucks! Stick with Boeing!!!! The 747 will win, watch for the 747-8F & 777F freighters to totally kill the A380F.

PARIS, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Package delivery company United Parcel Service Inc. is expected to cancel an order for 10 freighter versions of the Airbus A380 superjumbo plane next week, French newspaper Les Echos said on Friday without citing sources.

Rumors of A380 Decision Untrue, UPS Says

UPS says there is no truth to rumors printed in a French newspaper that UPS has made a decision to cancel its order for ten Airbus A380 freighters.

“As we have said many times, talks are ongoing between Airbus and UPS. All options are on the table, but no decisions have been made,” said Mark Giuffre’, public relations manager. “We believe it is inappropriate to speculate on details or potential changes at this time."

The cancellation rumor was reported in the French business newspaper Les Echo. The information was not attributed to any sources either at UPS or at Airbus.

Last year, FedEx cancelled its A380 order and a lease company converted its freighter orders to passenger versions, leaving UPS as the only customer for the cargo version of the aircraft.

;)If they were smart they would!!! Boeing all the way baby! Spdbrd is right...the 747-8F and the 777F will put this big "white elephant" to bed!!!
