What's a LOFT and why would the MD 11 scare LEROY? Is the training more difficult?

Line Oriented Flight Training. (or some such thing).

For all the guys senior to me thinking about coming to the 11. Leroy is scared because the training is hard and very scary. They are gunning for guys in the training building. There are problems with the FMS. The whiz bang stuff doesn't work the way it's supposed to. It's hard to land, especially those crosswinds. The Captains are grouchy. It's no fun without an engineer. The seats are uncomfortable. The trips are getting worse. And don't EVEN get me started on the MD10, what a clunker.

For the guys junior to me, it's a piece of cake. Don't know why Leroy is scared. Come on over. Best plane in the company. PSSST, don't tell the senior guys.
